smiling smiley At only $75 for a VIP meet and greet...well that's quite a bargain lol, but NO.

Just looked her up, and found this:

CupcakKe Tearfully Announces That She Is Retiring & Removing Music From Streaming Platforms

“I will no longer be doing music, and all of my music will be coming off of every platform.” She also says that her tour is cancelled, effective immediately.

Any truth to this?

Assuming you saw one of the Vancouver shows? I went Saturday and Sunday, very good overall. 3 straight hours, great setlist, great sound. Both shows were identical, down to the speeches between songs. Only difference was Saturday he brought his two young kids out on stage before the encore. The kids have Canadian citizenship since Elton's partner is from Toronto. Sunday night during band intros, he also mentioned someone in the crowd who either plays or played with the Vancouver Whitecaps and also on a soccer team in England which I'm assuming is his hometown team. Good to see long time members Davey Johnstone, Nigel Olson and Ray Cooper still with him.
I was surprised during band intros that his bass player is Matt Bissonette. First saw Matt in the late 80s when he along with drummer brother Greg played with David Lee Roth on the Skyscraper tour. The brothers also played with Joe Satriani.

Last monday I went to see Cher in the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam.
Nice to see the old lady (73 years and counting) who's still going strong, with a good voice and still looking good (with more than a little help).

She sang a lot of her hits, although she forgot her seventies hitsongs (no Dark Lady, Half Breed, or Gipsies, Tramps & Thieves).
This was the fourth time I saw her in concert and probably the last time.

Hi yes I went to the Sunday show. Really had a good time. The whole band was in great form,a great set list. The merchandise was so so, cranked up to $50, a bit high.I thought the blinking glasses were cool so got one. Please come back next year. If not I will have to travel to catch him just one more time, I've seen 4 times now. Thanks Elton, I won't forget this awesome show. Hope someone recorded it.

Haven't been going to a lot of shows lately. It's been quality over quantity this year. I had front row for Steely Dan in August, which was amazing, and tomorrow night I've got front row for Deep Purple. I never wear ear plugs, but it might be something to think about tomorrow. I think I'll be okay without them. I saw Deep Purple with Alice Cooper a couple of years ago and Coop was actually the louder of the two. Purple was loud, but not painfully loud. Coop was painfully loud.

Maybe he will come back since it is a 3 year farewell tour! I now check setlist fm beforehand to see setlists so I know when the songs I want to tape are coming up. Already have The Who setlist for next Monday. I'm sitting in the upper bowl end zone in Rogers so being a steeper slope, I should have an unobstructed view of the stage. Also want to tape a couple songs from Liam, the Oasis songs he does!
Just got tickets for Alice Cooper, who is coming yet again! Playing in Abbotsford so a quicker drive for me. This guy tours more now than he ever did before. He does a lot of back to back nights and his band is excellent.
