I really, really appreciate the heads-up on this... I hadn't seen there was a third act on the bill, though usually someone opens these double-bills here in the US. Shoulda checked Riverbend's website, but haven't in a while, and never saw them listed anywhere...

Great show last night in Cincinnati... got a Richie Faulkner pick, the guy is a phenomenal shredder. And The Temperance Movement was a good opener, reminded me of The Black Crowes a bit, but that's just 30 minutes worth of an impression. And Deep Purple, what can ya say? It'd been since '87 that I had seen them, they were great... Don Airey was awesome, and my first view of Steve Morse, a great gig all around!

Still thinking about "Bad Company" at the L.A. County Fair - plenty of cheap tix still available, and include entry to the fair itself.

Usually, I would save my concert cash for another musician I like more, but COME ON!!! An Alice Cooper show on Halloween weekend?!? How could I pass that up??? Plus I'll get to meet up with some close extended family at the show, plus some friends I haven't seen in a long while!
I've been binge-listening to Cooper's stuff to get acquainted with some of the deeper cuts (i.e. not 'School's Out,' 'No More Mr. Nice Guy,' 'Feed My Frankenstein,' etc.) and am getting REALLY hyped! Plus he seems to put a helluva show on for his age! The dude's just a little younger than Mick and is getting decapitated onstage each night!

See what I did there? It's going to take me a couple of nights and 600 miles of driving, but I'm seeing all three living original Byrds this fall.
