I finally got to see Fogerty last night in Canandaigua (right outside of Rochester, NY). Fogerty and his band were great. He didn't just phone it in. He sang his Creedence songs with passion and conviction. It was interesting to me that he opened BEFORE ZZ Top (who I never saw before and) who was also on the billing. Several folks who were sitting near me thought I like I did that ZZ should have played before Fogerty.
Now, I am typically not a conspiracy theorist kind of guy, but the other thing that my neighbor who went with me (and who is a big ZZ Top fan) thought was that the vocals on Gimme All Your Loving when it goes into "Gimme all your lovin', all your hugs and kisses too,Gimme all your lovin', don't let up until we're through" sounded almost identical to the recorded version from 1983- and as a matter of fact remarkably so. My neighbor and I looked at each other and we could not come up with a good answer as to why all of a sudden the vocals sounded sharp, crisp, and right on the money when up to this point in concert, vocals (especially by Gibbons were kind of flat and off the mark).

You must've left before they mimed Legs or else that would have further fueled any suspicions.

My comment was really meant in jest...I LOVE ZZ Top, but they're looking very old and worn-down when it comes to live shows.Quote

I saw them last year in Tulsa at a casino and am about to see them again at another casino
When I saw them they just never peaked. They just stayed at the same level all show.
The drummer was stoned ....way stoned.
It was enjoyable to me because it was a small venue and I have great seats.
The sound was good.
The Stones kinda spoil you. Mick does know how to build and finish with a bang.
