I finally got to see Fogerty last night in Canandaigua (right outside of Rochester, NY). Fogerty and his band were great. He didn't just phone it in. He sang his Creedence songs with passion and conviction. It was interesting to me that he opened BEFORE ZZ Top (who I never saw before and) who was also on the billing. Several folks who were sitting near me thought I like I did that ZZ should have played before Fogerty.

Now, I am typically not a conspiracy theorist kind of guy, but the other thing that my neighbor who went with me (and who is a big ZZ Top fan) thought was that the vocals on Gimme All Your Loving when it goes into "Gimme all your lovin', all your hugs and kisses too,Gimme all your lovin', don't let up until we're through" sounded almost identical to the recorded version from 1983- and as a matter of fact remarkably so. My neighbor and I looked at each other and we could not come up with a good answer as to why all of a sudden the vocals sounded sharp, crisp, and right on the money when up to this point in concert, vocals (especially by Gibbons were kind of flat and off the mark).

You must've left before they mimed Legs or else that would have further fueled any suspicions.

I just got back from a very rare local appearance by The Chapin Sisters.

...don't laugh, because I was suspicious of the vocals on that one too (LOL)!!

I guess I have 2 tix for Rod Stewart / Cyndi Lauper at the Hollywood Bowl tomorrow and no one to go with, so I am selling the extra for $20.

Slop indeed. Went to see them about two years ago and walked out after about 20 minutes.Dull, methodical and boring. The beards and silly hats are starting to wear a little thin.
To get back on topic, next show for me will be Ry Cooder and his son in Calgary. Now there's one I'm really looking forward to.

Fogerty and ZZ Top is a co-bill. They alternate opening and closing spots.

I saw them last year in Tulsa at a casino and am about to see them again at another casino

When I saw them they just never peaked. They just stayed at the same level all show.

The drummer was stoned ....way stoned.

It was enjoyable to me because it was a small venue and I have great seats.

The sound was good.

The Stones kinda spoil you. Mick does know how to build and finish with a bang.

My comment was really meant in jest...I LOVE ZZ Top, but they're looking very old and worn-down when it comes to live shows.

I have tickets to Billy Idol, tonite somewhere in Bavaria. The show that just got cancelled for "sinusitis problems" or whatever. Could also be "low sales disease" if you take a look at the number of concert adverts posted the last few days and weeks. So, get well soon ol´Blondie, don´t disappoint others like you disappointed me today! Your tour plans are long...

So next stop for me is a stadion show in Warsaw / Poland on the second sunday in July >grinning smiley<

cheers, Fillmore
