I'm taking my 14 year old son to see Motley Crue and Kiss tomorrow night.

I really hope I can take him to see The Stones someday...

Still tomorrow night!
Their Semi-Truck transporting the pyro for both bands flipped over on the highway and the show is postponed a day!

There's got to be something fundamentally very wrong with any band that can't go on without their pyro.

I hate to even admit this, but my son is taking me to see Linkin Park on Saturday.
Next month, it's the Black Keys.

Arrived without tickets to the Smokey Robinson concert last night. Walked up to the box office an hour before showtime and somehow scored 4th row center. How was Smokey? This youtube comment pretty much sums it up.

"I like this song mainly because Smokey sounds like that dirty old man from the hood that used to be fine as hell back in the day. You know the one that's old enough to be older than your daddy but's always trying to mack the young tenders."

Hello,

Just got a decent (well, apart from the price) seat for The Beach Boys at the R.A.H. next Thursday. Result!

Was tempted to go to the following night and tour finale at Wembley Arena too but I see that Albert Lee & Hogan's Heroes are at The Borderline that night. Top, top player is Albert!

Then it is Ray Davies, Chris Isaak, Ian Hunter and Sparks all in Manchester next Month.
F**k me, I must be the oldest 43 year old alive, hah-hah!

Cheers,

Simon.

Van's playing a lot of 'intimate' shows in Belfast hotels over the last few months (as well as larger scale shows.....he's played far more shows in his hometown this year than any time since 1964!)

The tickets werent hard to get because theyre very expensive - but its the wife's birthday that day (and we're 25 years married in two weeks), so I decided to treat her to something special. Managed to get Table 2!

I think the capacity will be about 300 or so. Drinks reception and 4-course meal before the gig itself. Looking forward to it.
