I just saw an amazing 'album in its entirety' show. Todd Rundgren and a 6-piece band did A Wizard A True Star (1973) and knocked it out of the park. I believe it comes to London and Amsterdam in February.

Still MIGHT go see Frampton tonite. There was a Steely Dan tribute band in town last night that I was curious about but missed them. The REAL Steely Dan will be here in a couple weeks, but I think it's a general admission standing room only show; not really the way I want to experience a band like Steely Dan. In other news, my wife tells me that Kiss will be at Cobo Hall next month, recreating a live album they recorded in that very building 35 years ago. She was only nine at the time, and couldn't be there because her parents wouldn't allow her to join the Kiss Army. Well, you know what they say, it's never to late to have a happy childhood ....

Nanker, you're going to love it. every single song/piece gets played with a minimum of re-sequencing. the main show was 75 minutes, 20 minutes longer than the cd/lp. tons of visuals, costume changes, etc. there was a *very* special opening act, which i don't want to spoil for you if you don't want to know. i'm just not sure if they're the opener for the february shows.
they're done with the 5 city mini-tour here in the States. if you want to spoil some surprises you can buy ($20) a PPV stream of either chicago or Akron and watch the archive in really good streaming quality over and over. fun.

A couple of years ago, someone on this board, for no apparent reason, posted a list of EVERY concert KISS has ever played. I'll have to see if I can find that thread and give it a bounce. It's really interesting. And some of the comments are really funny.

Steve Earle was great the other night, its rare skill to hold an audience for tow hrs with just a guitar (and mandolin) and a bag of songs. Loads of TVZ songs of course and some great talesQuote
