It's not like every single day of their lives is known, and there are other instances where they have been in europe during 1968 as previously mentioned.

There's no way that pic is from any later than say, july/august 1968. The combination of all the saddo anorak type clues clearly place it to that time imo. smiling smiley

From Bill's book we know Keith and Anita were in Rome April/May 1968, seeing as they tended to do things as double dates I see no reason why Mick and Marianne wouldn't have joined them.

This photo? This is from Mick and Bianca's wedding reception - May 12, 1971. It's not the same skirt.

Yes, I had that in mind. Same hair?! Skirt, the same length ("shortness"...). Actually, just wanted to mention it as a last "suggestion". I already believed in the early/mid 68 theory. Which leaves us with the probably totally unrelevant question: Where did they go then?

Another one from that same day.

but ... that is Marianne on the steps; and Keith's look in 1970 (see below) was quite different
than his look in that Mystery Shot. it's too bad we don't have a couple more shots to contemplate
from that same scenario, but until further notice: i agree with HM that it must be mid-68 at the latest.

but anyway, back to the main subject! the shots below are all from 1970 -
how old would Marlon be in these shots? i'm no good at guessing baby-ages.

- both aug 29th 1970, both courtesy of S. Grigoryan (don't know who took them, sorry!)

- also aug 29th 1970, courtesy of open-g (don't know who took it, sorry!)

Those are supposed to be from August 29, 1970...they're about to depart for Denmark.
Another one from that day:

thanks, Gypsy! for the date too - i'll add it to my post.
so Marlon's just over a year old in those shots.

Marlon looks like he's just around 1 year old in those photos. He looks a lot like my son at his first birthday, except my son did have the groovy clothes.

I wonder if Marlon was breast-fed. He really seems to be wanting lunch in those photos.

You're welcome!

Speaking of Marlon, he is featured in the new Burberry ads this Spring. His wife, Lucie de la Falaise is also in the ads, as is Kate Moss, and Mick's ex-girlfriend Sophia Dahl. Marlon is on the far right in each photo.

Burberry loves the Rolling Stones. I think Lizzie Jagger was in their ads a few years back with Kate as well.

Marlon was in some American Vogue photos with Lucie in the early 90's as well, similar group shot sort of things, they didn't mention who he/she was, but I knew.

I'm sure Keith is just hamming it up for the camera, caught mid blink and 'pretending' to reach for his groin.

must be, i don't think he'd violate his 'no heroin until after the reception' etiquette and be yawning or anything...

I still imagine Anita she'd smell of old dishes.

Nah... I'd rather smell chocolate.

she's still looking pretty good in the first "keith and anita, 1980" shot - is that date really accurate? because if that 1979 shot is right, she's already looking "bloated"

She looks like a dirty skanky junkie in the 1974 photo, which she basically was by then. :/

Are there many photos of Anita from 1975-77?

Horrible. But what was their story, when did they break up? 1979? 1980?

She seemed to cover up a lot in the mid to late 70's...lots of hats, sunglasses, scarves, etc...

She still looks kind of pretty here - in court, June 26, 1973:
