May 10th 1965 at the Chess Studios the Stones cut
an acoustic demo of Satisfaction with harmonica solo...
I don't know what happened to that version.....Mick Jagger 2003


May 11-12 Stones cut Satisfaction backing track and 7"/ album version at RCA Studios LA California.

An incomplete version with harmonica was aired on Shindig. It has surfaced on some bootlegs.

Just loved the Stones live in 1969!!! Jagger's best stage presents by far!!

Memories of the show I saw in LA (Forum) still are fresh... never forget it.

I'm not convinced it is the Chess acoustic/harmonica version though as the other tracks from the same show(The Last Time, Little Red Rooster etc) seem to be especially pre-recorded versions to give the impression the band is playing live.

This versions features maestro FZ-1 fuzz and Brian's harmonica comes in at the end.

Satisfaction starts at approx 5.20...

Totally agree. That's my impression too. IMO, horrible version...
