Wonderfull stuff! I still get moved by those photos of Keith, Anita and little Marlon. I spoke with all three of them on this tour. Marlon has become a tall, handsome, slender man, in his late 30's. A very nice person, just like the rest of the family.

I've got those postcards!!

That is - I've got the miniature versions of the post cards that came along with the reissues by Virgin - I thought that was quite a nice touch.

Had to buy it second hand as "Exile" - in that version - disappeared from the shelves (in Denmark) a little quicker than I had anticipated. Luckily the postcards were all there - otherwise I would not have bought it.

and where is the photographer's story about how that sequence all came about?
Keith showing up late and more or less immediately crashing into something and bringing the whole set down
and they decided all they could really do was make the best of it - something like that?

I read this same story in 33-1/3: Exile on Main St. by Bill Janovitz. An interesting little book.

Greetings from the Jersey Shore.

As I understand it, Bill didn't make it to this photo session and his face was inserted (pre-photoshop) into the pictures.

A bit of collectors info on the cards:
Postcards in the US version of Exile has red text. As the cards posted here by Rockman
Postcards in UK pressed Exiles has black and white text on the cards. As cards posted here by Deltics

This should be noted as I have seen some copies with the wrong combination of cards and LP's which only tells me that the cards have been added to the LP at a later stage.....
