There hasn't been any mention of Keith in any articles.

Unless Keith had other plans then whatever but from the sound of how the Glimmer twins were getting on during Vancouver (glares, dirty looks and muttering) it doesn't surprise me that keith didn't go. He can be such an ass to Mick.

I hate to say it, but none of Mick's former loves has aged very well.Jerri Hall looks awful, Marsha Hunt doesn't look good, (although it could be the breast cancer) and Bianca she looks ok. Even Jade Jagger doesn't look all that good.

where is there mention of glares and muttering in vancouver? i didn't see that personally...both of them were in good moods during the show (at least independently)

I didn't see the pic of Marsha Hunt that you spoke of either, can you post the link? I actually thought Jade looked beautiful.

I was at the Vancouver show and I didn't notice any glares between Mick and Keith. I did see Keith with a huge smile on his face as he stood looking at Mick when he was playing the harmonica solo on Midnight Rambler.

Is that the type of casket they normally use in England?

The ones in the US are much fancier than that. I'm not crapping on how things are over there, but if I went to a funeral and saw that kind of casket in the US, I would be really astonished. That looks like the kind of casket they use for criminals or in old cowboy movies or something.

now bianca looks even worse, wearing that fur collar.

funny how they focus on "emotional rescue" as being the stones hit album. i love that album but it seems possible that i'm the only one. but i also like "metamorphosis" - call me crazy.

They do stupid things like that to emphasise the point of the story, ie Mick's having a hard time so his family is coming to his 'emotional rescue'. If he had a gambling addiction they'd mention that he had a hit with "Tumbling Dice", if he had impotence problems theyd be sure to trot out "I Cant Get No Satisfaction".

They're such wags, those loveable tabloid journalists. Its only surprising looking at those pics that they didnt see fit to make a quip or headline mentioning "Paint It Black".

Please, don't give them any ideas for future headlines.

It was a funeral not a "catwalk", not a party.. Some people do not look "great" at such occasions. Or not?? A little bit respect, please, we are not "the Sun" here.

Absolutely right. Knowing nothing is not a good place to start commenting from.

As for the women, the comments about their appearance are just another example of the oft-repeated sexist crap on here! They look no worse for their age than Mick and co.

It certainly looks simple. Looks like your standard "pine box". Maybe that's what Joe requested.

I was surprised also that they had a Catholic service for him. This artice, [www.telegraph.co.uk], that someone posted in another thread here a few weeks ago says that he came from a "strict non-drinking Baptist family". Maybe he converted. Perhaps Eva was Catholic and he converted to marry her? I bet there's an interesting story there.

Correct. Christ, so Jerry's not looking her best. So what? She's at a funeral on a cold day and looks miserable. Pretty reasonable, I would have thought.

It's pretty much the standard type, though I see it's been personalised with the sporting figures. Some people go in for more ostentation, but quiet good taste is, even these days, generally what's expected. A down-to-earth believer like Joe wouldn't go for a lot of tat.

You might have to scrape me off the floor at the end of the tour, but it'll be really good scrapings. - Mick Jagger

Since it was reported that Keith did not attend, for the moment that is enough to speculate on. And since I can't call Mick or anyone close to him what else is there to base an assumption on. If Charlie, Ron, and ex wives could make it how come you best friend and band mate couldn't. I'll draw my own conclusions until informed of reasons otherwise. On the surface it looks very disrespectful. I hold out hope for valid reason but I'm doubtful.

yeah, you're right...i had a couple of comments - i'm just jealous. and yes, mick doesn't look great either and his mood may or may not have something to do with it but he has his moments when he looks fabulous.

though bianca doesn't look particularly old, just a little michael jackson-ish. maybe she's had some work done too? nothing wrong with that...i've been saving for a nose-job for years (but blow the savings on stones tickets).

Yeah, you don't know what to think. First they walk off arm in arm, after the LA show. Then supposed rumours of discord in Vancouver. BUt man Keith, he had to have known Joe pretty well after all these years. What could be more important than this?

There is no assumption to be based on anything. These are private matters. You don't have a f@cking clue what's going on between them and this is none of your business, full stop.

LMFAO!!! Just who do you think you are exactly??
Geez, can't beleive the crap we get to read sometimes...

The articles mention a private memorial service will be held later for Joe. Perhaps Keith will attend that. There are also people that can't stand funerals, and won't go to them. They prefer to remember people as they were when they were alive. I would not judge Keith for not being at this paticular, media-heavy public service.

Jerry was probably extremely close to Joe, maybe closer than Mick was in later years in terms of proximity and time spent. She lived next door to him, and went to lunch with him every week. I'm sure this loss was very hard for her, along with her kids, who also were the closest to grandad of all the Jagger kids, being his neighbors.

Bullshit. If all the rest of these people made it to the funeral, then where the hell is Keith? It does not smell right.
