I play my Stones boots and my guitars at home, sometimes pretty loud, but (knock on wood) so far they haven't complained yet.

I live alone two years now because I moved to an island where I go to university.So,I took my stereo(you the good ones,not sony and stuff) with me and maybe because of the excitement I used to play music in high volumes.So I had problems.Now,I don't have that much trouble.It's bad to live in an apartment.

i have blared my neighbours into submission with glorious rock & roll.
a lot of them appreciate that it's quality stuff i'm playing -
besides which, they know by now that all they get for complaining is Tattoo You Track 6 :E

When I lived in a different town, there was a girl who lived in the flat below me...she used to stomp something (a broom?) in her roof when I played guitar loud. She didn't stomp in a useable able rythm, so it didn't do much good.
No close neighbors here, though.

I often hear my records in the way, you can read it on "Let It Bleed": THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED LOUD"...although, there live some older people in my neighbourhood, they never complained about it, maybe, they don't hear it anymore ;-)
Once, I was in my room, which is on the first floor, two or three meters to the (hardly frequented) road, there was walking one of these neighbours, and I REALLY heared that song here: "Neighbours", very load, of course :-) But this person didn't even look at my room...so, no problems, with my "NEIGHBOURS"

I'm soooo lucky. Can't even see another house from where I live.

The deer, cows, squirrels, etc. haven't complained yet. Guess they saw my gun.

I hated my neighbors so much, I had to move within 2 months of moving in to a new apt. They lived above me and caused so much noise despite complaints. Twin three year olds cried, screamed, and stomped all day from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week. The week I moved out, I placed a speaker to the ceiling and put "neighbors" on repeat. Needless to say, they weren't pleased... but I didn't care. I think the landlord is actually evicting them after dealing with my complaints... too bad, so sad. Now I live a quick 15 minute train ride to Madison Square Garden -- Come Back to MSG, Stones!!!

On one side of me they're in their 80's and deaf, and on the other the old lad is in his 70's and quite frankly puts up with the noise I make pretty well, never ever complains. I've gotten off lightly I suspect !

No,but I have nasty habits.

maybe you've made him deaf, too!

as for me - considering i live across from meth-heads (its portland, or, after all!) that blast rap late at night, we have a mutual "don't talk to me and i won't talk to you" policy.

you can't catch me!

The only one I get complaints from is my wife.......

I used to have a very understanding woman living upstairs, i would play some SERIOUSLY loud music at god knows what time of night, and she was cool. However, she has flown the nest and left some other dudes to take over, and they have banged the door a few times in protest... Oops...

I live in a dorm and sometimes at night a group of guys will go outside and blast rap out of their car speakers in the parking lot under my window, which drives me crazy. I just have little laptop speakers and even when they are turned up full blast I can't drown them out or even at least compete. My neighbors in the next room haven't complained about my music, but then again I have pretty small speakers. Hoping I'll get some better ones for Chirstmas.

My two next door neighbors are like night and day. On one side there is an old Italian guy- must have been born in italy since he still has the accent. Sweet old guy, has a huge garden, must grow his own herbs, make his own marinara sauce- a true Italian, unlike me who subsides on Prego.

On the other side is a family who are friends with the woman I rent the house from (she lived in this house years ago) and they call her to fink on us when we do something they don't like.

As far as playing music loud no one has complained in my neighborhood.

Apartment living sucks. I grew up in the Bronx, in an apartment, and only-too-briefly experienced having my own house where I could walk on hardwood floors without disturbing anyone, play music, run appliances after 9 PM, etc. My current neighbors are.....from a land far away. Secondhand smoke comes into my apartment (pardon me, all of you smokers!), as well as the smell of liver cooking (I swear they really ought to try microwavable mac 'n' cheese!)

I have an almost-5 year old, and he can't make kid noise -- run around in the house, throw balls, etc., because they are ALWAYS at home -- they don't leave the house EVER!

So, I do my best to be a good neighbor. I feel as though my son is making noise and bothering them, despite my best efforts. I should probably shouldn't care, but, I know what secondhand music is like since they were blaring this heavy bassline Middle Eastern shit when they first moved in -- I bought them a pair of headphones!! It was just throbbing bass -- usually starting about 9 PM.

I blare my music through headphones and really turn-it-up in the car.

Now it´s pretty cool, I have my own house,

I have no problem with my neighbours, but I don´'t like them anyway!!!!!

Dunno whats worse - a naggin' Neighbour at the door, or some anonymous ghost, slipping notes under the door.

I have two demands from the society that I live in.

I must be able to take as long and hot a shower as I feel like with no guilt and live in a detached home so I can crank the Stones.

No complaints yet except over about the fence.

I'm trying to figure out something I could throw at them next time. I'm thinking boiling water. I could claim I "accidentally" spilled my tea or something if I get caught.

my drunk ex-neighbor used to sing the Star Spangled Banner at the top of his drunken lungs at 3 in the morning......luckily not too often

thats really odd. Maybe He sang that when the TV station was signing off for the night. remember when they used to play the star spangled banner when they went off the air? Now instead of singing TV stations signing off for the night its just Ron Popiel.
