seems like it's been a while since we've had a round of photos of the instruments owned by denizens of iorr,
and it seems like some of us are feeling the urge for a thread like that.
so ... go for it, guitar-owners! i'll make popcorn. :E

Hey open-G,

the left one on your picture is a Fender Lite-Ash Special Edition (Birdseye neck), right? But what's the one on the right? Custom-made? ;-)

More details, please ! ;-)

Thank you all, if this board wasn't for the Stones, it would definitely be a guitar-player's...

Re: IORRians' guitars

Hey Donny,

the left is a Fender Lite-Ash MIK (Made In Korea, for the other readerswinking smiley)
changed the machines to Kluson type. got it this year.

On the right, that's a Rockinger kit I built 25 years ago.
mahoogany body, SD-STL1 Vintage '54 Lead, & STR1 vintage rhythm Pickup.
lots of brass, as you can see - it sounds quite warm while the Lite ash has the typical twang and bite.

...and yes, you're right about the board winking smiley

Thanks open-G

for your immediate response. So, you're an all Tele man then as it seems? You're name implies playing in other tunings too, do you use these instruments for it or do you have some more?

Also a very nice amp on that pic. (Fender Bronco or something???)
And the box underneath ?

Sorry for being curious ;-)

cheers,
Don

I'm mainly a Tele man, but I do have a Gibson Les Paul Special from '79 (limited edition)
a Starfield KS Standard, with Humbuckers.
a black Hoyer Tele with Zebra-binding
a red Cheri Custom Tele
a Johnson JM-998 Resonator
+ some more not worth mentioning

The amp is a Fender Blues Deluxe. the box is an old Dynachord cabinet with 2x12" Celestion.

...and as my nick may imply, I play in open G - mostly.
