[crowtheraudio.net]

Usually pairs up nicely with Vox amps. Got one after picking up my AC15. I was curious after reading so much about the Hotcake and Vox amps. Bunch of reviews with the two together.

Another one I like with my AC15 is my Tim.

Had to check it out on youtube. Seems nice... smiling smiley My problem right now is: on my pedalboard I have 3(!) overdrive pedals and 1 distortion pedal. That plus the boost pedal gives me too many options. But, which pedal should I get rid of? Each one have different qualities and is different when used on the vox and on the fender. I will probably keep them all..... winking smiley

Keep them all.

Old pics and I haven't updated any gear pics. Besides a few pedals, it's been about a year since I picked up a pedal. Amps are my thing now. winking smiley

Started using my '05 TopHat Club Royale again.

Solid build and a great sound. Brian G. makes nice amps and some are a work of art. Described a Vox, with some Marshall flavor. Lower the mids way down and it can kind of get into Fender territory. But in my opinion, mostly Vox. The EQ pots are very interactive. Takes a little getting use to.

It has a great master volume, but really shines when loud. I'll take some edge off with a Weber Mini-Mass 25 when playing at home.

Singles, P90s and HBs all sound good, with a little EQ adjustment or switching the boost around. Lately I've been favoring my Mustang and LP Jr thru it. But have no problems with my Strats, Tele, or LP.

Can be a little picky when it comes to dirt. I tend to use more transparent boosts and overdrives, like a Tim or Timmy. TS, and the like, tend to sound a little honky. Fuzz pedals are usually ok. Modulations, delays and reverbs are fine. But can only be run out front. When using this amp, my pedal setup usually is something like this. Fulltone '69 -> Paul C. Tim -> EHX Small Stone -> EHX DMM -> VanAmps Soul-Mate.

I've been interested in dropping the chassis into a 2x12 cabinet and pairing up a AlNiCo Blue with another speaker. Just haven't done it yet. Only complaint and nothing major is I wish it had an effects loop and the boost was footswitchable. Other than that a great little amp.

~18-20 watts Class A: 3 12ax7, 2 EL-84 and GZ34 rectifier tube.(Using a 5U4 now = more sag)

I could look at pics of gear all day. These 3 basses currently hang on the wall in my den and see regular work.

hi dadrob-

if you have time:
-take pics of your instruments

-upload them to desktop

start an account with photobucket or flickr or some image hosting service (free)

-upload the pics to your new account

-select one by clicking on it, a list of properties will show then, probably at the right side.

_copy the image address

-paste that into the body of your post here on IORR

then use the preview before you post, to see if it worked

you can repeat this and post more than one pic at a time, just make sure they aren't too big. again, the preview will show it if they are.

hope that helps.

That little white one is a Mooer Hustle Drive, like a cheap OCD but pretty good for the price. All the Boss stuff is second hand except the Tuner and the Blues Driver.

That's what happens when you play with your knob too much, I change mine if they have the top hat type, don't like them much.
