Don't know about the Nighthawk, but I recently bought a Gibson Blueshaw, which is a grea guitar for rather small money.

Squier Classic Vibe 50's Telecaster

A gift from a friend.

I'll give a shout out for the Squire CV. Great guitars and bang for the buck. I flipped the control panel and replaced the pick guard with a white one.

Squier Classic Vibe 50's Strat
Fender Standard Tele - MIM
Fender Blacktop Jagaur HH

not my pics but they are identical....sorry pics are so big.

I play mostly garage/punk rock, the strat hardly gets played. Jag is simple layout, meaty HB tones, easy to play with short scale, best neck. Tele has a SD little 59 in the bridge which rocks.

open-g, I'll post my own photo of the 3 so you won't be so offended, lolz.

Here's my handpainted '72 Telecaster Custom reissue. (Yeah, I painted that myself with pencil, acrylic and water colors, then sprayed clear lacquer on top and polished.)

Very Nice work LieB! Love the twang meter on the back....

Wish you could do that to the vintage Gibson '59 Es-335 in this thread (lol) , these collectors have screwed the market for us players. peace

I do not play guitar, but I have a guitar in the house.

It is a Seagull S6 "Original", 6-string acoustic, made in Quebec, Canada. When I got it, my research showed it was a good choice for the money, US$380, 10 years ago.

I still religiously fill the humidifier once a week in it's case, since I live in a very arid climate.

Music Man JP6 Electric Guitar w/ Piezo Bridge - Xtremely versatile. A perfect crossover between my Gibson Les Paul custom and Fender strat.

Re: IORRians' guitars

The Music Man guitars are fun to play. I like the Silhouette as well thumbs up

Absolutely fun and easy to play, a shreddneck wonderfully smooth with the oil & wax finish but you have to adjust your left hand technique if you want to play a bit faster, certainly when you're used to play a Tele, Gretch or a Les Paul etc.

Re: IORRians' guitars
Date: November 12, 2013 22:54

Yeah, I know. You really gotta work the tele and the gretch.

A more light-handed approach for the music man. Still, you get a lot "for free" with it thumbs up

What do you mean by "a lot for free"?

Re: IORRians' guitars
Date: November 12, 2013 23:13

That they are extremely easy-played when played right.

Re: IORRians' guitars

Date: November 12, 2013 23:22

Regardless the style? A strat or any Gretch can be easy played as well if you just melt with it.

Re: IORRians' guitars
Date: November 12, 2013 23:32

Sure, but those fine-polished fretboards automatically make your fingers wanna run faster.

You can shred a ballalaika to be easily played as well, but the teles and semi acoustic gretches are heavy beasts to begin with, and you'll wanna treat them as what they are - at least I do smiling smiley

The Music Mans I've played are so slick and smooth and giving - a true joy to play thumbs up

Yes, guitars are like women, they are all different..but you can influence them, and the other way around. smiling smiley

Last arrival is a Greco Spacey Sound SE-500 made in Japan in 1980:

Very very nice 50's style strat. Beautiful Sen (japanese ash) grain and killer sound. Better than expected...

milio77, looks nice! Do you know what pups they are?

My last two Fenders have been CIJ. My next guitar will be a Burny LP Jr. Some great guitars coming out of Japan.

Thanks Mingsubu.

No idea about what pups it has. I haven't removed the pickguard yet and MIJ's research online can be a bit tricky. Too much information and sometimes contradictory. Probably Greco or Maxon made. But I'm curious myself so I'll take a look inside the next time I need to do a setup.

And yes, nice items from Japan...

Do not sell that guitar. Whatever your financial woes of the moment; sell your body on the corner first. but that guitar will give it back to you at later date.

I'm trying to figure out mingsubu madness for the boxes. Do you collect them, or rebuild them? One of the very best f/x I ever got is in the second pc from the top @ bottom right: the Fulltone Octavider. Put a Gretsch through that, and it gives you the meanest crunch. Not talking about this cheap distortion w/ built in Flange and -T-Wah that every amp comes pre-stocked with; but real pain, LOL
Btw I agree with Dandelion about the difference between Gretsch or a Tele and the MusicMan.
