Just don't come back saying you enjoyed it...melillo will tell you you're an idiot.

some good some bad some outstanding, what can i say, it is really starting to get boring, i mean these guys have over 400 songs in the can, why must every tour be based upon these 10-15 numbers that they always do, are thay ashamed or something

You don't enjoy the extended guitar jams/versions in songs like Brown Sugar, Satisfaction YCAGWYW and JJF? True, those jams extend the songs by a few minutes. I always like to see/hear Ronnie & Keef work their chops and jam, but that's just me. My wife could cre less about a 3 minute guitar solo though, she likes the vocal parts more. But that's just her. It's all good.

ronnie and keith could also do that on songs like
100 years ago
time waits for no one
soul survivor
winter
luxury
but they just dont do it, they need that warhorse security blanket for some reason

melillo...you and I had fun busting chops on people about the Beacon setlist, but in reality, let's face it, the Stones were never the Grateful Dead or early Springsteen...they didn't vary it up that much 30 years ago and at 60 something, they're not gonna do 3/4 of their catalog in the span of a tour.

I'm not a sycophant who says EVERY show is great. On this tour DC show was good, Charlottesville outstanding, Vegas the first time good, but AC was incredible. Philly 81 was musically not good, but it was my first, so I still enjoyed it.

I haven't been fortunate enough to go to 40 shows or like some...hundreds....but I have many boots and its enough to know that they are at least as good, in many ways, as they were in 81, if not 73. And I'm certain they vary it up more now than they did on the Tattoo You tour.

I've heard about 40 different songs this tour. I'd prefer, for example, Slave to BS, but if I can't get it, then I'm happy that I got what I considered to be an inspired version of a song that could have indeed be rote. Makes sense to me.

truce my friend...

I was pissed too, and between the two trips, I lost a load of dough due to being a sucker at the slot machines...but being completely objective, it was a damn fine show. I'm hoping someone has a boot, so that we ALL can enjoy it.

Buzzkillers just enjoy bringing everbody down with their ragging - and it's always the same "experts" on this board. Do me a favor and spare me the self appointed "expert" crap! You're all like a broken record. Hey, get out more...btw I'm no rookie, my first show was in '75!! Been digging these guys since I was 8 that's over 40 years...

that said, fact is....you missed one great show baby!!! Too bad!

I'm sorry - I don't do gratis work. I'm a professional with a fee commensurate
with my talents.

I, on the other hand, will mock you for free. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

melillo,
thanks for telling us what's going on in your head and for complimenting
a few numbers in the set list!

melillo,

let's be fair, during this last American ABB leg they actually showed more variety in their set lists than on any previous legs; the European shows in particular were a bit too predictable. But then, complaining about about the Stones not exploring their gigantic catalog a bit deeper is like complaining about the fact that it is raining today. I sure like to hear more obscurities like Let It Loose or Time Waits For No One or whatever else but on the other side often experienced how silent a packed stadium became when they actually did a number that was not well-known amongst the average crowd and all you could hear were the enlightened cheers of 100 or 200 hardcore fans. It's not easy!
