Frankly, Keith was in and out. I thought he "disappeared" during the songs just before his own two, and wasn't much more than a poser on the B stage at times. He made a bit of a comeback during the last portion of the show. However, all this just highlighted Wood's role. Wood stepped in, filled the musical void, and Jagger seemed to respond. Someone else mentioned Blondie Chaplin's playing. I had a view of him, and there could be something to the theory of Chaplin doubling Keith's parts. No need to do that for Ronnie, however. He was on fire in Vegas.

Very well written. In fact, I have never read a better post. The only thing I would like to add is that we should not forget Woody is also suffering a recent loss.

LJS: Outstanding review! I was there too and enjoyed the show immensely.
I don't know what section you were in but from where I sat on the Keef side of the stage down low, I didn't witness too many drunken geezers like you may have.
Also, BTW...the median age for a Stones concert attendee is 49 years 7 months, so you will see many old farts such as me in the audience. lol
Nice job on the review though, BINGO! :-)

Thanks, and thanks to everyone else for their nice words as well. We were in the upper area, section 211, on the end of a row. We kept having to get up for people who needed to get to the bathroom in a hurry because they'd had too many $12 cocktails in a plastic cup. I'm 48, and have done more than my share of partying over time. After a while, I learned my limitations. A lot of these people spent a good portion of the show either buying more booze or pissing away the booze they drank. I don't get it. But hey, it's their life and their livers.

love your liver, and you'll be liver than you'll ever be.

Me? these days I get as high as I want to be with the music.

Didn't see too much excessive consumption in block 207, but yeah crazy prices.
They need to head downtown Vegas for the 99c margarita from a real life mermaid !! and free live music from Mark Farner (of Grand Funk) and others last Friday.

My fault... I was refering to what Dean Goodman's review said about Keith leaping off the ramp to the main stage.
