Is that really Joe Jagger on the black and white photograph tribute for Mr. Jagger with young Mick and Chris on Rocks Off site? I don't think so. Just compare the other pictures of Mick's old man (especially the outstanding ears are not there)with this man.

Mick looks about 10 years old there so it's 'roud 53-54. The man doesn't look like Micks father as seen on the BBC television programme about rockclimbing where Mick was about 14 years old

Well I really don't know. I see some things that looks like the other photos, but some things don't fit...like the ears.

I think I heard that it was Mick's uncle in that picture. But I don't know for sure if that is ture.

I have noticed that Mr. Jagger changed quite a bit in appearance over just the past 4-5 years. If you look at the footage of him in the documentary, "Being Mick", that aired (in the US) in November of 2001, there is a remarkable difference to the photo of him taken in December of 2003, the day that Mick was knighted.

Rocks Off has replaced the previous picture with another one. This is definetly Joe and his wife Eva, Micks parents. So I guess the picture of yesterday was not Joe.

One of the editor's wrote that the picture yesterday indeed was Joe. And Eva in the background. The picture was available in a book...was it Wyman's book maybe..

Can somebody please post yesterday's Rocks Off picture and some others of Joe Jagger so we can spot the difference. I'm a digibeet so it's to difficult for me. In Wymans Book Rolling with the Stones there is not text with the photograph so that doesn't work either.

Do you have to refer to Mick's father as his "old man". Show some respect.

I was talking about Mick not his father. Mick doesnt read this thread, he is a public figure.

And how do we know he doesnt read threads or follow this site?

I also believe its appropriate, in particular these days,

Yes, it is a sad fact. Fans of the Rolling Stones used to be somewhat outspoken and nasty maybe even tasteless and here we are. Upset about Sir Jagger's father who passed away at the age of 93.
Of course it's sad about his father. But I don't think Mick's hurt by my comment. My grandmother was senile and Micks father has that same look in his eyes. I dont think I should be censored for pointing that out. Besides I wonder how many of the posters here are really hurt by the news.

Umm, I think you were censured, not censored for your comment? BV will I'm sure do any censoring that he feels is needed.

I see a photo of a very proud, happy father, behind a very large pair of spectacles. With the lens distortion they could make anyone look a little less than up to speed
