Lumi...willy only sent me 3 of the shots to see if I interested in them.
There are around some 50 shots in total and I should have them all in about a week..

Excellent pix! You rarely see pics from "the man" that one hasn't seen before...

The guitar looks like a custom made 5-string, no decal on the headstock, so could be a Zemaitis, but then the Zemaitis' have more embroidery on them, maybe Ted Newman Jones had made it for Keith. Never to be seen on later tours, right?
Humbucking pickup in bridge position gave that thick rhythm sound we all love about the 1973 tour with them mean lean Taylor leads on top (played on a sunburst Gibson Les Paul, if I'm not mistaken). Oh, well and them Ampeg amps might have played an important role in the sound of that time aswell.

Keith looks very young in the pictures, but at the same time very shattered, but nevertheless energetic. What a combination :-)

Fantastic pictures! I love those '73 Australian tour pics with the parasols - you can feel the heat coming off.

the five strings guitar is a ted newman jones, the very first of all the 5 strings guitars made for keith. he also used this one it for the 1973 european tour.
the first 5 strings from zemaitis was made during 1974 and used live during the 1975 american tour.

Great pics, ty Rockman.
nice shot of the Ted Newman Jones guitar.
PAF Humbucker @ the bridge and P90 @ the neck.
I wonder if Keith ever played one with EMG pickups, like the blue print in David Daltons book suggests.

A Les Paul Special on the 2.nd pic.

Kent, what is it you're seeing, Keith being wasted?

I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that Keith may have been doing drugs around the time of these pics.

Great shots, Rockman - thanks.

These should have their own webpage, or book.

I'll gladly get the proposal together and find someone to write the text.

I couldn't see what was particularly "wasted" about Keith in those pictures, either. He just looks like he's playing and into the performance. He looks like he often does in pics from that era. Of course, he was doing drugs back then. What Rooster is referring to, I think, is that Keith said in an interview that when the Stones played in Hawaii in 1973 (around the same time as the Australia shows) he was too stoned on acid to remember the shows. He said that when the Stones returned to Hawaii in 1997.

I see only one pick up. That looks like an LP Junior. He seems to have been into the natural finish those days.

Keith, oh Keith. How bizarro to still have a crush like this! A crush on Keith Richards circa 1973. And, you big brawny dudes commenting on his guitars! HA!

Total eye candy! And I HATE that expression.
