He did it. For the first time ever. Just one brief afternoon rehearsel during the soundcheck.
TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE Live
A full house last night withnessed this great moment. The crowed pick it up the chorus of the song and sang along while Mick was fully concentrated on his guitarlines.
was a great show. Taylor was standing on stage (not sitting), smiling a lot, communicating with the band and the audience. He played a terrific solo in CYHMK. A very good show. Glad I went to Ochten.
Two really great, fantastic shows. I came up from Vienna/Austria and it was really worth every mile...He played "Time waits for no one", "You gotta move", No expectations on both days. Introducing No expectations on the 2nd evening "And now we play a kind of tribute to a Bluesband from the 60's - we'll play a song from the Stones"... He played more than 2 1/2 hours, 11 songs each evening - so you can imagine we heard very, very long guitarsoli and improvisations. Absolutely fantastic. Was backstage and had a nice talk with Mick and his wife - new CD will be released in spring. Susan
i have made some recordings and will post these later these week on dimeadozen and/or rocks off. these are not complete.. i know there was another taper who did record the whole gig on nov. 17, also a (almost) complete recording of the second show does excist. i dont know if these recordings will ever be online somewhere as I am not the owner of these tapes...

He's played the instrumental portion of CYHMK for years and that's fair enough. He played JJF regularly during a brief period. In various settings he's played LRRooster, You Gotta Move, Shake Your Hips and Stop Breaking Down, but those are cover songs by the Stones. He has co-writing credit on Ventilator Blues. His No Expectations is a very nice re-write. Sway seems fair game to me. He did Rocks Off and Silver Train one evening with Carla Olson. In 2001 he accompanied Erwin Nyhoff on acoustic guitar and they delved into TWFNO, SMorph, DF, IGTBlues and LIVain, but that much "Stones" cover material is rare. Like Sway, TWFNO seems fair game.
There are a few flukes here and there (Separately, co-written with Keith), there is a Honky Tonk Women that I can think of, but not too much else. All things considered, I think Taylor's playing of "Stones" songs over the years has been fairly restrained.

Many thanks, again. It's great to see one of his shows generous this level of interest.
Hi, thanks a lot for uploading the Taylor show on RocksOff but after I've downloaded about 55% it just says "Torrent not authorized"... and obviously the torrent has been removed.. What happened?
