It's hard to believe, but the A Bigger Bang tour is now up to having 74 different songs played during it and is likely to have more different songs played on it than any other Stones tour. As it stands now, it is 2 songs behind the 1997-99 Bridges/No Security and 4 songs behind the 2002-03 Licks tours. Here's the complete list of songs played so far:

El Paso and Wichita Lineman were only one verse long that's not a song and Con Le Mie Lacrime is the same song as As Tears Go By. So the correct number of songs played on this ABB-Tour is 71.

Yes, but unklike the Licks tour where a lot of those 78 songs were played with regularity, many this tour have only been played a handful of times, if that.

I wouldn't put together the complete tour from 1997 until 1999 because the 1999-tour had a totally different structure.

I agree. 1999 was a different tour - they were promoting the new live CD (in name, not setlists). I wish I saw it!

While the 1999 arena tour in the U.S. was called No Security, the later tour that year in Europe was called Bridges To Bablyon, even though it took on some of the changes in structure that were in the No Security protion of the tour. It's pretty hard to separate the 2 because the Bridges To Babylon tour bith began and ended after the No Security tour, so it's not really accurate to say they had an entirely different tour in the middle of an ongoing tour.

In 1990, the Steel Wheels tour became the Urban Jungle tour with some different staging and changes to the setlist, yet it generally is still included with the Steel Wheels tour.

This debate has already occurred as to whether Wichita Lineman and El paso count as songs and I'm going with BV's take on it which is that they were short songs, yet songs unto themselves and no just snippets connected to another song. He lists them as separate songs on the Wichita and El paso concert pages and I am going along with that. As for Con Le Mie Lacrime, musically it is the same song as As Tears Go By, but Jagger sings a different set of lyrics, so it should be counted as a separate song. Honky Tonk Women and Country Honk are the same song with a different arrangement and some different lyrics, yet they are generally counted as different songs and using this line of thinking, Tears and Lacrime are being counted as 2 separate songs.

"Some Girls" playd 2 times ?...I just count the one performed in Beacon 2...
when was the second one playd ?

Same with "It won`t take long"....i just count it performed once at the Holywood Bowl...where dide they play the second one ?

By the way..canĀ“t believe they skipped back of my hand just after 15 times...and Out of Control after 12 times...both should have been playd regularly

depens how you look at it, or would like tp look at it. I have always ,like Halup does on the list, seen Bridges To Babylon 97-98-99 as one tour. Because they got back in Europe with the same stage as 97-98. Statisticlywise Steel Wheels-Urban Jungle..are seen as one tour, so i go for 1 tour 97-98-99

The reason people have trouble saying the Bridges tour is the same as No Security, besides the change in name, is because a very different setlist came into play on the latter. That hadn't happened before. Plus, NS was also announced as a new tour; with Urban Jungle it was obvious all along that they were headed to Europe, even if the tour took on a different name.

That was a type on Some Girls. It was only played at beacon 2 and I guess in my mind I put in a 2 instead of a 1 for that. I will edit my post.

BTW: Does anybody miss Street Fighting Man? I think this is the first tour which does not include this song in the setlist. I wouldn't also miss Miss You and You Can't Get What You Want. But, well, sometimes you get what you don't want, do you?

Street Fighting Man was rare in 1997-99 with only 2 performances in 1998, so that was close to it not being played on the tour. They rehearsed it in Toronto last year, but maybe just decided to rest it this tour.

I remember reading or hearing many years ago that Mick actually doesnt like performing it.

Its never been played enough down the years for me to get sick of it.

Its been left off a lot of previous tours since 1978. It was played at a small amount of early shows in 1981 and then wasnt brought back until the European "Urban Jungle" tour in 1990

It was a staple on Voodoo Lounge in 1994-95, but then was only played twice on the entire BTB/NS tour (Houston Feb'98 and Berlin Aug'98) and then not again until Licks

I wonder why Mick doesn't like playing Street Fighting Man? Too bad, it's one of my favorites. Does he feel the lyrics are too inflamatory these days, or is there some other reason?
