jesus, what is this discussion about...you are a famous musicion, all the options in the world, meet everyone possible in the business, make a date, sing along, whatever, so what, only one song, did you hear it actually or is it just prejudice...love to hear a duet with Anastacia though...

I have seen them all.
Sheryl Crow numerous times duet on "Honky Tonk". Don't like it.
Justin Timberlake duet on "Miss You". Awful.
Dave Matthews. Duet on "Wild Horses" and "Memory Motel". OK.
But Christina on "Live With Me" was just great. Mark my words.
See the dvd. When it is out eventually.
That girl is more than just a nice look and blonde hair.

agree again. i went with a buddy - a total hardcore stones fan who always hates the duets - and he was duly impressed with Ms. Aguilera. That says something. I think you detractors will be surprised when you see/hear this. I know Mick was impressed....

The Stones can share a stage with anyone they want. And they choose a former member from the Mickey Mouse Club?

What's even more surprising is that some of you seem to think that that is a good thing.

What is wrong with the Stones? What is it with this #$%#$% tour?

Why should they choose only people we approve? Personally, I'm glad they don't stay in the little box we make for them...

It's not a sticky rockband with only outlaws in the audience, like the early 70s. It's Rolling Stones 2006, big tours for millions. What's so strange about Christina being a part of the show?
And everyone who had a Beacon ticket said Christina/Mick was great.
...And come to think of it, Mick had an even sluttier outfit from 72 to 76 than Christina uses in her videos. And NO, I'm not a fan of her music...but I know a good voice when I hear one.

The Stones did a jingle for Rice Krispies in the 1960's. Yes, the cereals. Does that disqualify them as musicians?
What about the Beatles' versions of their songs in Italian?

This debate is ridiculous. The girl has a great voice, period.

Jesus, some of you complaining about how young she is sound like the old jazz guys who looked down on the Stones when they were first starting out. Anything not from our generation is bad! What bullshit.

She is a tremendous singer, although I can't stand her choice of material and never listen to her (except when it's unavoidable - in a club, etc.) I'm looking forward to hearing this one. And yes, she is smokin' hot, and no, that never hurt anyone's career, from Tina Turner to Grace Slick and on up.

I don't care for her music much myself but there's no denying she's got a powerful voiceI. I'd like to at least hear the performance before criticising it. Damn Tod you were lucky to have been here!

BV I totally agree with your assessment of each of the musician/singers who accompanied/joined the Stones!

just having fun.......but she will have to be awesome to win me over.

just wondering the age of the Stones fans that were automatically in favor of this pairing. i've never been a fan of christina's...nor justin's.

if you guys are all in your 20s..i understand.....and it's cool that you youngsters are into the Stones. if you're over 40...you should be reserving judgment.

for the record...i gave justin timberlake the benefit of the doubt til i saw that debacle.

Hillary Duff's available for the Atlantic City show. UGH!!!!!

Howabout a FLAVOR FLAV rap duet version of TIME IS ON MY SIDE or TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. (get it? he wears a clock)

And I thought a duet with Christina Aguilera was farfetched. I guess anything's possible these days.

You're comparing apples and oranges. Xtina might be in the tabloids, but she has an amazing voice, and everybody agrees on that. She's not boxing in the same category as Duff and FF. Sheryl Crow isn't much better anyway.

Another dvd, more crass commercialism.

Arguably they'll never top Four Flicks or Bridges to Babylon for a concert film
unless a couple of Hells Angles show up and stab Christina.

Hey! I said "stab".

Could not agree more with you!!

As for the Sheril Crow, duets I like them, but that is just my opinion!

Keefstheman: I don't think it has anything to do with worshipping, she's just a great singer and a very good choice for a duet. Great that they chose an unsuspected song for the duet. On the other hand, not so unsuspected: if I could ask her one question I think I would also consider 'don't you wanna live with me?'. If you dont like her, fine. But there's no use to keep repeating it, you've made your point so clear that I think CA is on your mind more than on any other peoples mind here. Needless to say that I feel sorry for you that you despise her so much, while she keeps bothering you today... ;-)

I bought the single of Genie In A Bottle. I was 16 and still very much in pop mode. I also bought her follow up, What A Girl Wants. They are now gathering dust in the attic. I'm quite ashamed actually. Most of my school freinds were listening to Nirvana, Foo Fighters etc.

Oddly enough I actaully liked a part of the new song by Aguilera called "Baby Jane". The whole song sucks monkey balls, except for this very last part in it where she sounds like Billie Holliday or something. That's good.
I wouldn't care who she is, but if she made a good duet then hats off. All the prejudice is pure crap. If who was gonna make the duet was between Christina Aguilera and George Thorogood (Or someone you like), and Aguilera could make the better duet, then it should be her of course. That's called being interested in the music. If you care about who they actually are in person, and not on stage, I suggest you go read some Hollywood news crap instead. The music is what's important. Period.

Know what? I dont think about her at all...What I think about are the knuckleheads that think having her on stage was a good thing...I'm feeling very sorry for you, too...nuff said about this for me
