If this sticks, they're going to do some watered down crappy LA gig (I'll guess 18 songs). This really sucks in so many ways. They REALLY better make it up with a club gig I get in to...which they won't...so BOOOOOOOOOO to all of this!
cant believe the stones would screw people like this just to consentrate on the movie instead of playing ac, that really sucks, mick is not sick he just said @#$%& it lets just concentrate on the movie gigs this weekend, what a disgrace

I think TTG is on to something here....Mick's gotta get a "Boy in the Bubble" outfit for this Meet and Greet stuff.....

Actually, my bet is on the opposite -- I predict a wimpy, coasting-through-the-easy-numbers show for Atlantic City and then a "real" show the next night in LA. Dodger Stadium is so much bigger, more paying customers, higher expectations -- and more people would talk about it if they sucked. Atlantic City gig is important, but it isn't as big.

Is it ?.... Very sad for all those who were to attend.
I hope you're right...but this tour SHOULD be called the "Turning off the hard core fans" tour. I was aiming for 50 total after this tour...I won't quite get to 40. I'm still only 30yo...but for me...this just stinks on so many levels!
Atlantic City gig is just as important as any other show to the fans attending. Fans have been sacrificed to the Beacon and this film. It should have been scheduled OUTSIDE of the regular tour. Kahoosier is down there in the Atlantic Bar and Grill for what was to be the pre-show party and says there are a LOT of very pissed off people in there, most of whom have travelled far and wide from Europe or from other parts of the US and cannot make the rescheduled date.

correct. NO audience or show should be given priority over another one. Your money is as good as anyone's.
It's true that the Stones will need to be out of Atlantic City early to get a good jump to LA. They never play back to back's even in the same city, let alone coast to coast. I imagine there will be some rearrangement of the schedule forthcoming. Dodger stadium isn't selling like hotcakes but it is a high profile show that I doubt the band would want to ditch out on.
This really sucks for the LA fans...man they better not CNX the Dodger Stadium show....this would really suck, finally ticket sales pick for this show and now this? @#$%&!

as of tonight he doesnt have too many in Atlantic City, I would think....
I am sorry for all the people who had tickets to AC, I have had tickets to cancelled shows before and am very symapathetic, But to all those nobheads trying to state as fact what you have no @#$%& clue about is idiotic, Gazza unless you have direct access to the band or promoter SHUT THE @#$%& UP!!!
Mick has no friends in AC tonight. Let's make that clear. Thinking about it for a minute, I find it hard to believe they will play back to back, coast to coast. This has to be an immediate PR move by the tour manager.
No way in hell is Dodger Stadium staying at November 18th. They will not fly coast to coast to perform. They don't do back to back in the same town anymore. Luckily for me I hadn't left yet for AC.
Sorry Ket but Gazza generally knows what he's talking about, which is a lot more than can be said for others on this board (self included). So leave it out.

MicksBrain, I am well chilled, I am just trying to stop all the conspirocy theory's being spread.

I've got it
Atlantic City is the A stage, the Stones do ten or so songs on the 17th The jump on a cross-county open-platform bullet train, doing the same four songs across the heartland. The do a song or two in LA, the B stage.
And come back to AC to close out with a coupla warhorses.
Problem solved, the whole country feels like the got to see 'em.
I anticipate Dodger Stadium moving to November 19th. It's a baseball stadium in the off season, so there are no other events going on there at the time and it should be easy logistically to switch it to the Sunday. It's a different stage than the one being used in Honolulu so it does not impact that show at all.
Any hopes of the rumored theater show in L.A. are effectively killed now, unless they were to do it after Honolulu.

"My fellow Americans, and people of The United States. The Rolling Stones have canceled their show, the show is um, canceled. They will not be playing tonight, not be playing tonight, because the show has been canceled. Bill Clinton is to blame."
