US Sony just put out their own expanded versions based on the EMI expanded editions from 2003 & 2004. But, stick w/ the UK EMI's. These (US Sony/BMG versions) are different, however similar they appear (same Charles Shaar Murray notes, photos, layout, etc) & thus it sounds like US Epic had different masters prepared back in the 60s. The cds also have different timings (both individual songs & total), the Beck-Ola tracks mostly run 2-4 seconds longer (in real time - the end of 'Mill Valley' for example is clearly not heard on the UK edition.) but sound is otherwise drab, lacking the awesome power of EMI's repros, and Wood's huge room-filling bass seems relatively wan on Sony, as does Beck's awesome, malevelont guitar: noteably inferior. Spend the xtra 2$ or whatever for the UK versions.
