What was your answer?
Date: October 18, 2006 08:32

So...how did fans answer the following question?

"Why should The Rolling Stones Fan Club send you to the Beacon Theatre?"

My response was:

"Because I know, it's only rock n' roll but I like it like it yes I do!"

I think they'd like to hear about some body part you'd be willing to offer up -- if only they'd selected you!

Groveling, down on your knees, assume the position -- that sort of shit might appeal to "them!" Don't you think??

I think it would be really cool if they DID pick winners based on originality, etc. But, I've always LIKED contests.

The best answer will probably be the ticket to a backstage pass or some other RS fun.

If I told you my answer then others might use it you know! What is your ATM pin code? Please?

Oh ok bv...be that way! ;-)

Even if someone else copied your answer, you would win the tie-breaker because you submitted your entry first.
BTW my ATM pin code is 1218...oh no, wait it's 0726...

I simply dropped out on this one. It's not fair to take a spot in the competition if I can't afford to go to Beacon anyway. It would be nice though.

Oh ok JKF, no problem...but...IF you DID enter the contest for tickets...what WOULD your answer be?

You rock, JKF. Your decision to not enter the contest to give a chance to someone else is pretty damn classy. Can't imagine too many people are behaving that way.

No worries, buddy. If I win, I'll make sure and send you something fab from the show.

I was not asked the question. I the question only for fan club members who purchased tickets on the Bigger bang tour?

I was officially entered into the contest by signing up as a memeber of RS.com. there was not purcase necessary for that. I usually buy my tickets from strangers at the venue as I can get a better & usually cheaper seat. I avoid scalpers like the pluage ...that is those selling tickets for a profit. I was able to buy a $400 floor seat in Maima for $60. $400 for a seat 3/4 back from the stage is a bit much in my book. good luck to all in getting Beacon tix ....hope to see you inside.

The RS.com members paid 100 dollars so no wonder they try to do something extra for them. Like meet and greet with Mick or Bill... ha ha...

I could tell you my answer....but then I'd have to kill you...seriously there are the platinum and legacy memberships which cost $100 then my membership to rs.com which is "free" with the ticket purchase....

I know you got the tickets; I really want to go.
If I have to beg, plead for an entry,
I don't mind, 'cause it means that much to me.
Ain't too proud to beg

you can have it - it's worthless - the Stones have already emptied the account.

StonesTod: Is that your FINAL answer?

NumberOneStonesFan:

My answer would be pretty lame I guess. Something like "I am a very big fan of The Stones and yada yada yada, The Greatest Rock 'n Roll Band In The World yada yada yada Mick Jagger is the ultimate frontman yada yada yada etc. etc.

The reason being that I have a hard time explaining why they are my fave band. When asked I sometimes answer what Bobby Keys an Darryl Jones said in 1994:
Bobby: I can't explain it, I just dig it.
Darryl: The way it.... You know..... The way..... You know..... The way it.... it grooves....

Bluespeyer:
Well thank ya' matey.

How do I answer this? Difficult.

I worship the PLEXIGLASS which surrounds Charlie on which the nightly set list is written. In fact, I started the PLEXIGLASS religion on the European fan club site IORR (see the posts on iorr.org under the Tell Me forum). The PLEXIGLASS foretells the future, is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. It was not born or made but begotten.

The number of believers is growing. And non-believer blasphemers shall be struck down! Praise the PLEXIGLASS!!!

The other but more obvious thing for me to say is that I have seen them 14 times on the A Bigger Bang Tour in four different coutries and 32 times since Wednesday, July 16, 1975 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, but I have never seen them in a small venue.

Nice! Some great answers, keep 'em coming!

I thought of one after I had submitted...
It was: "I am Micks weird bastard lovechild from the 60's and I miss my Daddy"

I'm pretty sure a lot of these answers are getting flagged by the FBI, MI-5, and Stones management
