Eric_Snow, Yes, don't worry, I'll pick it up in person...will travel there.
Edith Grove, sorry, I was just guessing that they wouldn't start sales until the freebees were released. I didn''t mean to imply that I knew anything for sure. I was just asking what people thought.

Because there appear to be two versions of the contest entry form. On another thread, Melilo wrote:

Not only that, they don't ask you other stuff -- here's my e mail to rs.com:
Hello
Thank you. While I entered the sweepstakes, I was NOT asked the following:
• which show I wanted to attend
• for my phone number at which I would be "reachable any time"
• for an answer to the question Why should The Rolling Stones Fan Club send you to the Beacon Theatre?
Why was the form I filled out different than the regular form? Does this mean I have less of a chance at getting tickets?
Or can I send in the rest of the information?
I await their answer.
My membership is one as a result of having bought tickets for Regina I, but I was never sent any e mail by rs.com welcoming me to the fan club. I had to go on their page and put in what show I bought tickets for. Then they gave me the membership.
Any thoughts or comments on all this?

Because you do not worship the PLEXIGLASS enough tim. That is why satan I mean, the stones, will not allow you to win tickets to the Beacon. Besides the boys have already come to Big Sky country. You alraeady hit the Rock & Roll lottery out there tim. Time for the cityfolk to step up.
I also saw two versions of the form as I was sent two e-mails - one with details for members and one with details for non-members. All very confusing but that is nothing new with rs.com. Does that mean I can enter twice or what? Also I believe the terms and conditions make no mention of tickets for 29 October - they only mention them for 31st. So what is that about?!
This extract from a news feed says that the winners will pay for the tickets but I'm not sure that's correct:
"The band, which recently attracted more than 50,000 people to Giants Stadium, will play to an audience of just over 2,000 at New York's Beacon Theatre. Tickets to this show, and another on Oct. 29, are being offered for $35 and $50 to winners of a lottery on the band's Web site"

Indeed I stand rebuked. Though i have been the chief priest of the PLEXIGLASS religion, my work and my faith have evidently not been enough and I stand accursed in the shadow of the PLEXIGLASS. Woe is me, Woe is me.
I will attempt to repent as quickly as possible so I can get back in the good graces of the PLEXIGLASS and therefore perhaps win tickets.
The real bummer is they dont announce winners until the round trip airfare prices are in the less than desirable "less than one weeks notice" category. From Sacramento, that means a $250 r/t ticket goes to close to a grand each. It would be so nice if they would consider things like this.
I wonder how many tix will be available to people who signed up for the contest on RS.Com ..but did not purchase Bigger Bang tickets thru them/sign up for fan club thus were not asked to fill out the essay/ choose a night???
