Good one, Gazza. Seriously, though, I really think this song worked well live. Do you hate the live versions too?

He REALLY hates the live versions too. In fact he deeply hates every Stones ballad there is.

LOL...definitely not true

I dont HATE Fool to Cry. Its Ok. I just think its nothing special. I certainly wouldnt complain if I was at a show and they played it once in a while.

Sometimes Jagger ..No, make that MANY time Jagger infuses a ballad's lyrics with so much story, emotional scope, just so much specialness, that it elevates these songs. They open themselves up to you. I am able to identify, as if it is me who is singing and experiencing it all.
In "Winter" after the solo where it gets real quiet and Jagger whispers "Baby, don't you know sometimes I wannna keep you warm". The way the "K" sizzles and echoes in the word "keep". "Worried bout you" has that quyick "Why'd'ya do that baby?" in a natural off-camera aside tone. And in "Fool" there is that one time Jagger stretches the "cry-y-y" real slow and suffering like; like he is crying. Those moments make the songs for me.

"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."
