From the first shot, it looks like a high school football stadium. I didn't expect the Wichita gig to be a large audience anyway. Call this one the "outdoor club show" without the club show setlist.

Kansas is finally on the map. Please be happy for us. I've travelled all over to see this band and, for once, they are coming to me. Tomorrow night will be great. Warhorse setlist or not, I can't wait!!

I'm glad the Stones are getting to less familiar places. Obviously they will visit places like New York and Boston more often than Kansas but it's great they get to those places now and then.

After all there are Stones fans in every state.

It is nice to see them going to places they don't get to often. You all will have a great time in Kansas. You've got a great opener in Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, if you never heard them I urge you to check them out. Here's their website: [www.blackrebelmotorcycleclub.com]

They use four identical stages. The last time this one was used was on the 23rd in Halifax. They play leap-frog right across the continent. Man, I should be following that stage!!!

..should be a good sound so long as it's not too windy. No enclosed stadium echos or slapback to bugger the timing.

How many people were at this show? I can't believe it wasn't sold out with only 37,000 seats! What percentage of the stadium seats were sold? Just curious.

I saw Pollstar/Billboard from last week and the Stones aren't listed. They did this before, not turning in their statistics for some reason. I think they'd be #1...I don't know why they don't report their numbers.

That picture of the stage with NOTHING in the background but SKY
really shows how kewl the set/stage is .

usually there is a big wall, or green monster, as a backdrop
and it is not as great

37000k venue not sold out?

Re: Wichita report - stage is up

One horse town.....true...and the ticket prices were dropped from
90 to 60 and 350 to 200 and they gaveaway a ton of seats too.

they eliminated 8 sections in the back, and moved people up to the front too.

KC would have treated them right.
