can you imagine angels singing directly to you, just pouring it out, and you find the way to share that, to let other people hear it too, and all anyone has to do is be open to the glorious music, to let it touch them -
and at every turn there are these types who keep trying to stamp you out, lock you up, tear you down, badgering and demanding and belittling and griping - and can you imagine going out there anyway - your real self, in real life, in real time, with all your feelings, your whole life - can you imagine somehow finding the breadth of spirit, the huge heart and tenacity and guts and balls to keep reaching out, to keep filling the world with this astonishing angel music?
can you imagine that five hundred years from now all this will be mythology and the myths will also mention the people who witnessed this - yes! ordinary mortals! so blessed to hear the angel music - and how there were also hungry ghosts so shrivelled up and pitiful that they couldn't hear anything except their own ingrateful screeching bitching demanding mocking whining. and five hundred years from now, when all this is mythology, the hungry ghosts will still be hungry and the sssouls who loved to hear the angels will still be singing
Right now I'm ripping a Bigbang cd to my new 30GB Creative player called Frontside Rock'n'roll. Great Norwegian band playing good r'n'r. Are going to fall asleep listening to this.

I think not being able to hear is much how those who cannot see are dealt their hand.
It is said that blindness before the age of 7 leaves the individual with no true image recollection. The memory of such things fade after time. They see colors, and images that could only be left to the imagination.
I am certain that deaf people hear "sounds" just not how we would traditionally describe them. I'm sure that much of it is left to the individual's imagination, as I said.
So they could be hearing the Stones, and it could sound better to them than we could ever possibly imagine hearing.
To add, I've always firmly thought that if aliens actually did land on Earth at some point in time, our music is the single greatest gift we could give them.
My dog loves smellin' things, but he's not so into listening to music.
I think that for different creatures we experience the world very differently, humans included. I don't think him (my dog) any less an angel because he doesn't like it when I play the Stones, he's just got his own demons and angels. And I respect that. He does a mean version of Bark Me Up, all the same--if you've never seen a dog sing a Stones song, it's something to see. Makes me cry and laugh at the same time.

Back to what Bluespeyer wrote - Didn't they send a disc with music on it into space back in the 70's? Voyager, maybe? Had lots of variety - mostly classical, but included Chuck Berry! Sorry I don't remember the details, memory went up in smoke about 25 years ago.

Still we differs on HOW important we regard music. For me its almost/sometimes bigger than sex.
