For some reason the thread I started got moved into this one.

Anyway, tonight was the first time I heard that Who song so it must be off the new album.

My biggest problem with the current setlist is that they're not doing anything from Quadrophenia. Despite the usual promises that THIS TIME they're going to dig deep and play some really obscure stuff, The Seeker and Cry If You Want are the only oldies in the set that they didn't do the last time I saw them, in 2002. As for the new stuff, I'd rather hear them do it later in the tour, AFTER the album is released.

Techno???? What a shock!!!! Thats proof right there that u are a feral wank. What are these references to '84 and '90 thats so long ago. You sound like these tossers who just talk about the Taylor years. Its 2006, kemo sabe, wake up and give up the bong hits. BTW- I have no problem yapping safely face to face punk.!!!!!

Because The Who, like The Stones, are one of the greatest ever rock bands. Get over or get with.

"Your just a clown who doesn t appreciate any music other then the Stones!!!"

I proved you wrong.

"BTW- I have no problem yapping safely face to face punk.!!!!!"

You're the coward with the hidden email addy (such a trait is usually inherited though...so I guess it's just weak genes). I'm easy to find...let's meet for a drink sometime...we'll see just how good you are at yapping then.

"What are these references to '84 and '90 thats so long ago."

No dopey...they are references to where I grew up...and I assure you folks are tougher around there then you are.

In other news...

"Because The Who, like The Stones, are one of the greatest ever rock bands."

I disagree...I do not think the Who are anywhere close to the Stones. I don't need to get over that or get with it...I can just keep my opinion that the Who are not as good.

I grew up in The Bronx, saw the whole burning of The Bronx in the 70's....fast forward 20 years...I use to drive a cab in San Francisco from 90-96....I have to say, Richmond Ca. was the biggest shithole I ever saw.

People in houses had 15 foot steel fences in front of there house, that shit was crazy.

Besides the above comment, I have nothing to add to this thread. : )

Yeah mentioning genres proves me wrong. Wow, I listen to jazz, blues, country, and classic rock as well. CLOWN!!!!!

You can see it now. Coward, isn t a word that describes me and I most definitely do not have it in my genes.

Oh, so you run with gangs on the West Coast. Whopte damn doo.

I won t be on the West Coast anytime soon my friend. So I will pass on the beer. Anyway I do not drink Colt .45. Hey dude, enjoy the music while its still around because we most likely will not be having this (discussion) in lets say the next 5 to 7 years. However, you ll have plenty of time to conjure up the techno and hip hop classics that i m sure there be in the future. ROTFL.

Where I grew up...you really aren't very smart are you (and the point being that I would beat you down without much effort)? Dumb, a coward and seemingly a classist bigot. Let me guess...you think everyone who grew up poor must be dumb and black...right? At least we now see the real you bigot...and we know it's the parents that teach that...so nice family you come from. You wear a hood & burn crosses too? I'd figure you do...you know, just how you were raised.

"Yeah mentioning genres proves me wrong."

It's hard to believe you are actually this dumb...but I guess you are. When you say all I know is the Stones...yes, it does prove you wrong. What genes...simple, a bigot...boy o' boy...what a family. I really hope you don't have kids...I'm sure they'd be little racist/classist cowards too...let alone dumb.

All reviews indicate that The Who can still rock. Who cares as to how many buttons Roger fiddles with during a show. For a 60 yr. old guy, he looks pretty darn good. Let's see what the naysayers look like at his age. Mick shows us his belly constantly and our beloved Keith, is wearing a hairpiece clipped to his bandana and paint to cover his huge bald spot. The bottom line is that it's all about the music and both bands are icons. Let it rock.

These are incorrect dates listed above.

Please check out Pollstar.com for correct information.

The WHO is @ Mandalay Bay on Friday Nov. 10

The Stones are @ MGM, Saturday Nov. 11.

Just watched the tape from last night....they did "Man in the Purple Dress."

Wow....what the hell happened here? Brothers and sisters, sisters and bothers..EVERYBODY just cool out!!! :-)

I'm not sure why anyone would put down The Who. I first saw them and the Stones for the first time back in the early 80's and although the Stones were my #1, I frankly thought The Who, even with Kenny Jones, put on a better show.

Since '89, I changed my mind, but in 2002, I saw The "new" Who, and was amazed that, like the Stones, Daltry and Pete were still in top form. They absolutely stole the Concert for NYC in 2001.

Stones will always be #1, but for me, the Who's a solid #2!

I posted above, but i will gladly do it again so who bashers dont think its a townshend gay song. Pete said that he was enraged after watching Passion of the Christ and wrote this song decrying established religion.

Oh, I misread the original post and thought someone wanted to know WHAT the song was that was played!

Yes, after listening to it and hearing the words, definitely a song about religion....
