I received the same E-mail.

Great rhythm section with Pino Palladino on bass, Zak Starkey on drums. IMHO Starkey is the best drummer in rock today.

I hope to make one of the WHO shows but I may not be able to because of prior commitments this Fall. Stones, Clapton, Jeff Beck, WHO, Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, Government Mule all touring in the USA this Fall. So many shows so little time and $$$...smiling smiley

I wish i could go to Grand Rapids (its an hour from me) but sadly that is my last day of classes. Once they introduce WIre and Glass as a full piece into their set, its bound to rock. I doubt they will play when i see them in chicago two weeks from now.

I'm with you, I want to hear Wire and Glass and/or other new stuff. If they put 4 or more new songs in the setlist I'll go to one of the dates, if not there won't be much point for me as I saw them in '02, '00 and '97.

Just a side note from a big Who fan (in addition to the RS of course), they will be on Dave Letterman Thursday night. I'd reccomend going if you haven't seen them in awhile. I saw them in 2004 and, taking into account the loss of Keith and John, Pino and Starkey are definately the best replacements they could have found. Pete can still rock pretty hard.

I saw them @ MSG in 2002. One of the best shows I have ever attended.

After reading reviews posted here I'll have to try and make 1 of the shows.

Playing new material........maybe it's not that hard after all.........

Saw them 3 times many, many years ago - 1st time in 1975 (with Moon) and the last time in Birmingham, maybe 1982???

I'm seriously considering Atlanta!

I will give my review tomorrow. Got my fingers crossed on the weather, it's very over cast today on long Island and calling for showers later tonight which wont't bother me as i have a very nice goretex rain suit. I think this show is still wide open, and if it does rain you can be sure I;ll be moving down from my 58.00 seat into the 250.'s

10 new songs out of 27, wow! And a new song as the closer, pretty ballsy. Sounds like a road trip to see these guys is definitely in order for me.

Saw them in the UK this summer and they were excellent.....well almost......after the first few shows they cut most of the new songs....even at small Who only shows.

Hopefully you guys will see all the new songs as the tour progresses.

After 24 years you`d think they could coordinate the tour with the album.....ie release the album prior to the tour.

So true. It took them forever to finish the album. It was supposed to be out before the tour started, but they were still working on it up until a few weeks ago. The Wire and Glass EP is pretty good, I can't wait for the full length version. It's called Endless Wire and comes out Oct. 31. Here's the track listing:

1. Fragments
2. Man In A Purple Dress
3. Mike Post Theme
4. In The Ether
5. Black Widow Eyes
6. Two Thousand Years
7. God Speaks To Marty Robbins
8. It's Not Enough
9. You Stand By Me
10. Sound Round
11. Pick Up The Peace
12. Unholy Trinity
13. Trilby's Piano
14. Out On The Endless Wire
15. Fragments Of Fragments
16. We Got A Hit
17. They Made My Dreams Come True
18. Mirror Door
19. Tea & Theatre

Correction to the above setlist: Cry If You Want was played between My Generation and Won't Get Fooled Again. Source: [www.thewholive.de]

It's also mentioned in USA Today.
