I completely agree. Look at KISS....they've been doing a "farwell tour" since 1996. Now they're more of a laughing stock than they ever were. And what's hilarious is the fact that Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley know that they're a joke now and settled nicely right into the role. I gotta hand it to Ace Frehley, he knew when to tell those clowns "see ya later!"
Getting back to the point....I too hope the Stones never announce a "farwell tour". Just do a final show. And my vote for that venue would be Madison Square Garden, NYC.

The last gig... The best places for this event have been named previously in this topic : Marquee Club and Hyde Park. Why not a 12 songs setlist at the Marquee with only blues and old Stones titles, show broadcasted on a jumbotron screen in Hyde Park and a couple of hours after that, a 15 warhorses songs only show in the park ?
