Last night I meet the Rolling Stones. I was given a pink VIP pass which allowed me into the sacred meet and greet.

Inside the HEAVY guarded backstage area I was escortet to the meet and greet room. Nice room. Lots of beer, wine and candlesticks.

Boring waiting from 6.15 pm to 7.14 pm.

7.14 pm: lots of tour personell traffic outside the M-n-G room!! Walki talkies announcing that the band is on their way!!! EXICITING!!!

7:16 pm: The door opens and Keith enters!!!!!! WOW! Wearing sunglasses and and hat he laughs - MUCH! He seems very happy! Ronnie follows. He is smiling but quiet. Then Mick. Very smart dressed. Pink shirt and lots, lots of make up. He is taller than I thought. And Charlie - quiet and VERY polite.

All 4 stones walk over to me and shake my hands: First Keith then Ronnie, Mick and Charlie. They even looked into my eyes as the shook my hand!! And Keith has got SO soft hands.

A picture was taken. I stand between Mick and Ronnie. I calmly put my hands around their shoulders as the picture is taken. WOW. I all took 2 minutes and they were out again.....They left me...mesmerized!!!

I won't get it before in the next couple of days!!

Well, I guess a photo with them is a much better souvenir than an autograph, I mean, I don't know about you guys but I'd rather exchange some words with them and maybe have my picture taken rather than wating my chance to "talk" by having them sign something.
Do you really care much about autographs anyway? I personally don't, just asking ...

Helen, the tour person told us NOT to publish the pic, but....I have friends here, som just have patience.

It was a FANTASTIC expereince. Charlie was SO polite and kind. Ronnie seemed a little quiet, Keith was laughing aloud and Mick was so famous, but also very, very kind!

It to about one and a half minutes...but no autographs! Damn! I tell you, the backstage area was SO, SO heavy guarded! Stewards with in every 10 feet. I was crazy. But the backstage area was huge. And the Rattlesnake Inn was also amazing.

Helen told us they were supposed to have done a sound check, but as the gates opened early they were forced to rehearse in the dressing area. An Helen said that we were so close to the dressing area that we might hear them. But we didn't....

How do you get to meet the Stones? I'm not even sure if I'd even want to, I might be too nervous, disappointed, or even be told to @#$%& off if i asked for a photo. I've seen your photos and autographs. How do you guys do it? How do you know where they'll be? Or get backstage passes?

When I was at cardiff a young girl next to me had basic £90 tickets. By all accounts some chap comes over and offers her and her mum on stage tickets FOC!!! And then the lead singer of the Kooks stands next to her throughout part of the Stones set. As you can imagine she was a tad excited!!! Jammy Cow.....

Are you crazy, man??? Meeting the Stones has been - so far - the BIGGEST experience in my fan time. Bigger than getting their names on a piece of paper. Unless I'm taken out to dinner with them og join them on stage, yesterday has been the biggest - for me!!

You do not need a meet and great ticket. Just go to the hotel where they are staying and wait. You may get lucky and snag a few autographs. Charlie and Ron are very outgoing and do not mind signing a few. Mick and Keith are tougher but now and then they will sign as well.

Were the people there all company execs or were there other fans also.

I'll sure give you my report from Sunday. But, last Friday I started at my new job, so thing are a bit hectic at the moment.

But I will give you details about the show, my meeting with the boys and how we went from the backstage area to the field using the EXACT route the Stones used getting to the stage.

On the way I saw big limos parked behind the scene waiting for each Stone to be escorted away fro the show. Each black limousine :-) had a tag in the windscreen i.e. MJ CAR, KR CAR, RW CAR and CW CAR!!! The cars were shining and chauffeurs and bodyguards were waiting....and it was all prior to the concert.

my friend's uncle who just died from cancer last month, got to meet them backstage at one of the hollywood bowl shows. he wanted to see them again before he died and just happened to get a room at the four seasons (not knowing the stones were staying there). he met the hotel manager and after talking, mentioned why he was there. the manager got him the meet and greet tickets.
