Please change the setlist for Fall 2006 Tour

The Stones have so many outstanding songs, and I would rather hear them play other classic Stones songs and hidden gems such as:

Mother's Little Helper
Dandelion
I Got The Blues
You Got The Silver
Jig-Saw Puzzle
Far Away Eyes
She Was Hot
Emotional Rescue
Flight 505
Sweet Virginia
Let It Loose
Little T&A
Time Waits For No One
We Love You
Sweet Neo Con
Winter
Tell Me
She's A Rainbow
If You Really Want to be My Friend
Family

I'd rather hear any of these songs than the predictable "war horse" songs such as Honky Tonk Women, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Miss You, Get Off Of My Cloud, It's Only Rock 'n Roll, Shattered, etc.

Please play different and more songs Rolling Stones during the fall 2006 tour!

What songs would you like to hear during the Stones 2006 fall tour?

Nice idea, but I must say most of your songs listed are unfortunatly compltetly unrealalistic.

We can't possibly expect them to play "dated" 60's pop tunes like Tell Me Dandelion, and especially We Love You. Can you honestly see them doing these? Just ain't gonna happen.

I would say Far Away Eyes, Sweet V, and You Got The Silver are the only ones on your list that have a chance in hell.

sad but true

All of the songs are listed aren't dated, and I would scream in delight hearing them instead of the predictable songs again and again and again.

We Love You would make a great opening song and so wouldn't Mother's Little Helper.

I pretty much agree with both posts but,the Stones are usually good for an unexpected surprise (at least a couple per tour).I didn't expect As Tears Go By last year.Family has got to be one of the worst songs ever. Not to mention,it's pretty disturbing.

That's ok. I like the song a lot.

Family

Family
(Jagger/Richards)

Here's father, his heart screwed on
Yes, here he's got it I'm sure
'Cause he lost his life in an accident
Found his heart in the man next door
What exactly's gonna happen
When they do transplant the brain
Will my borrowed brain still compute the same
Or will my daughter suffer so much more

Here comes the girl, she's got her head screwed on
But it ain't screwed on right
Her ambition is to be a prostitute
But the breaks just weren't right
What exactly's gonna happen, tell me
When her father finds out
That his virgin daughter has bordello dreams
And that he's the one she wants to try out
Yeah

There's ma, she's living dangerously
It's a cinch she'll try it anything twice
She thinks she can run right to the whirlpool's edge
And stop herself just in time
What exactly's gonna happen
When she finally fizzles out
The lovers will just be sucked into
To see what the colours of death are all about

Here's the son, has his legs a-screwed on
Yeah, they're screwed on pretty tight
But his brain is loose and it ain't no use
He's already lost the fight
What exactly's gonna happen
When he's finally realized
That he can't play his guitar like E.G. Jim
Or write St. Augustine if he tried

That's what happens
When a family finds out
That they've been in orbit now for a thousand years
And need a thousand more to climb out

Not a chance in hell, they will keep sticking down our throats the same 15 warhorses no need to name them and maybe 5-6 semi warhorses.

Time then to retire. Been a fan for 40 years. They have to be friggin bored playing the same tunes. Gee guys how far does your catalog go back to.

I'd settle for Hot Stuff, Worried about you, Soul Survivor, Dead Flowers and I Got the Blues.

Completely agree Family. But I would be shocked to see them try much else and they don't seem to care for or respect many of their songs that they simply won't play live. Can't figure it out

By the way Family is one of my favorite Stones rarities. Such a haunting sound to that song.

That depends. You list Sweet Neocon, which would be a great listen by the way. Political songs are always dated. Emotional Rescue is dated to the max. Dandelion and We Love You too.

Not any of the songs from the Stones sound dated. Each and every song is better than most of the crap released in pop music these days.

I like the The Beatles too, much much better than current music. They sound so fresh, unique and simple (though the songs are not that simple).

Of course we still have bands like Live, Arctic Monkeys, U2, etc etc... But I am not comparing the Stones or Beatles or whatever band to another. Cause each their own music and style.

Saying "dated" is only a stupid word. It's all matter of personal taste.

I'll know for sure there is a God if the set list changes and "Miss You" is buried. Take HTW and TD too.

How about songs like Let it Bleed
She's a Rainbow
Loving Cup
Love in Vain

All songs that have been done on past tours but not recently.

You sound dated. Rolling Stones fans want to hear different songs.

Are you the type of person that wants to hear Start Me Up five times a day on the radio? Not me.

The Rolling Stones need to play more and different songs.

I would love to hear them try Emotional Rescue, just to hear them make a complete shambles out of it. That would be funny.

My gut feeling is that the days of set list experimentation with album tracks are over for them, that nowadays they basically won't do any old or obscure songs that are long, have lots of lyrics, or have complicated turnarounds and lots of chord changes -- just won't happen.

But I still think one area where they could mix it up a lot more, they could swap out some different '60s "warhorses" and get away with it. I mean, Paint It Black, Ruby Tuesday, As Tears Go By, they all come off well even today, and sound very cool. They make nice little moments in the show. They could just as easily do Mother's Little Helper, The Last Time, 19th Nervous Breakdown, and my personal fave, Have You Seen Your Mother Baby. Or rotate them around in different cities. Those songs can't be that hard to remember how to play. That would be really rad.

If they continue to perform until one of them drops, like they say they will,I can't see them using the same songs from here on out.I predict more As Tears Go By - like songs if they are still at it in their '70's.

Dear Lord please make the Stones drop Honky Tonk Women from the setlist. If I hear it one more time I will jump out of a window. Also, make them bring back Love is Strong, Out of Control, Monkey Man, Gimme Shelter and some more songs off of A Bigger Bang. Thanks.
