It's in the Daily Mail today edition, an excellent investigation by a journalist (he deserves the Pulitzer) :

nothing new there. Angus Young has used one since the 70's (an oxygen mask not a facial - lol)

@FunnyPromoMan
Where do you think I got it from?
Do you really think I spend my days reading the Daily Mail?

I think it's funny that Mick does everything under the sun to stay young looking (grueling workouts, expensive facials, extensive hair work) but draws the line at plastic surgery. If he's going to go to all that other trouble, he might as well go under the surgeon's laser and get some of the craginess smoothed off that famous face.

Let's face it, in up close shots his face is pretty scary looking. I know a few people his age who aren't nearly as wrinkled as that and haven't had any work done. Of course they haven't done the hard living that Mick has done. My point is it can't even be a case of wanting to look his age (in one aspect and not the others?), because lots of people his age aren't nearly that wrinkled.

At this point it would be Michael Jackson-freaky if he sudenly showed up with a perfectly smooth, unlined face, but I think that is beyond the capacity of current medical science anyway. To look that way he would have had to have a series of surgeries starting in his 40s like Cher has done. I'm no fan of her music, but you have to admit that in her early 60s she has not even one wrinkle.

It's too late for Jagger to go that route, but they could probably sand blast him back to the Steel Wheels-era Jagger anyway. I just find it odd that he would do everything BUT plastic surgery in his quest to be Peter Pan. It's kind of weird and disturbing looking to see that anicent face with a teenager's body and hair. Either go all the way or just let yourself age gracefully, Mick!

What's wrong with that anyway? Who can keep up with Mick at his age?

Has nothing to do with age.

The guy from the Red Hot Chili Peppers does it too...

No different to the practices of many top athletes today. It's simply the current wisdom current in sports physiology...and just the kind of thing Mick would be into.

Angus Young used it in 1980, you can see it in the Let There Be Rock movie, and he did it on stage so everyone could see it. Hehe, I´ve always thought that just looked cool, so I got no problems at all with Mick using it.

The pic of Mick and Steve Tyler says it all. Tyler looks like he's been ridden hard and put away wet waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too often. Mick looks twenty years young and and markedly older!

Glad Mick hasn't gone the plastic surgery route! As for Cher, she has no wrinkles but she looks awfully "tight" (her and Priscilla Presley)....I don't even know how they move their mouths these days!

And Mick looks just fine from the cheap seats.......

I think it's great - and a hell of a lot better than what he was using in the old days to stay awake! I call that aging gracefully!
