Since it look likes the DVD of the Amsterdam show just was wrong info. Which show will be recorded then and released? Please not Rio... Already have that, and also don't think Mick was at his best that night, didn't run that much around the wings! They sould take a Spanish show...

The rumored Beacon Theatre show is reportedly going to be recorded by Martin Scorsese. If it were up to me, that would be the preferable DVD release from this tour.

I wish It woudl come out as they started touring the US.

but a theatre show doesnt have all the bells and whistles..lights..explosions, the massive crowd, the massive stage, etc. i think they should do a 4 pack like four flicks again, a theatre show (beacon probably) a stadium show, and an arena show, different setlists of course, and the 4th dvd, a documentary and songs from random recordings, rare songs they've played this tou

I know they did this already for the four flicks boxset..but it would be excellent again if they did it this time too, its not like they didnt play anything but stadiums this tour..tons of arena shows in the USA

And i really hope the official dvd isnt Rio, Mick was not in top form oddly, and the music didnt sound as together as it does on other nights...and the stage was terrible

I dont think that they'll do a DVD with 4 shows like on FF. On the Licks tour, they had three different shows that were designed for each of the types of venues. On this tour its pretty much the same show at each venue. thats not meant as a complaint, but the licks tour was a different type of tour.

Beacon Theatre Show is for Charity.

If it is released on DVD then all the revenue would also go to Charity or they will really look like a shower of tight fisted $%^&*.

They will still release a DVD from another show on the tour.

Imho Wembley was the most likely of the Euro dates to be filmed, now godness only knows.

well, Twickenham might be filmned as it's UK and also they've already filmed there before so they know the venue, cameras possibilities etc.

yeah exactly, but...hmm..if they filmed one of the shows they're going to do in the US later this fall, or even a 2007 stadium show, and then added an arena show from the middle of the tour...the show and setlists would be quite different, and the venue, and the stage, skip the theatre show because of repetitive setlists, and add a bonus documentary disc about the album, and this tour with rare stuff, well they could call it "3 BIGGER BANGS for your buck!"

Yes its a double edged swored. Because its a charity event they will play their boring songs and maybe make less money. They should do 2 shows in this small event as rumored and film both and do something interesting for their fans as a change.

I think the Ticket prices for the show will be really scary for most fans.
Only the V rich among us need apply.
They could of course broadcast it live on the net and charge a sensible amount for the not so rich who want to watch.

Why would someone like Martin Scorsese film the Beacon show if it was NOT going to be the DVD release? If this rumor is true, I think that's our DVD.

I don't see how the charity show could be that interesting to fans.Probably four songs at most that were not on Four Flicks. The second Beacon Theater show could be a different story but,I see that possibility as a long shot. There are rumours starting that the next L.A. show will be filmed.

Although most here have it,the Saitama show would make a superb record of an "on" night.

How about a mixture of stadium/arena/club as one giant (2-3 hr) show.

I hope they don't do any rediculous edits like on LSTNT or AT THE MAX.

Surely they have realised by now that they won't sell large numbers by editing down length of live films OR albums (RO on Live Licks was unforgivable).

I spotted Martin Scorsese at The Madison Square Garden January 20th, with assistants. They were taking notes for him, he was pretending he had a camera and held his hands up - sort of "director-like". A man like Scorsese - a die hard Stones fan - has made important music films before, hasn't he?! Like ...The Last Waltz?
But when you think about it, why would he stand in the wings at the MSG whil the Stones are on stage (which is what he did), if it wasn't because he's going to film The Stones at The Garden? The Beacon is totally different. Smaller stage etc. So my, in this matter, qualified guess - is that they're planning a new gig at the Garden.

It would be good. All the performed songs on this tour on an extra disc. We know they have it on film since all shows have been recorded in audio and sound.

they should tape a spanish show or maybe a south american show if they
take the onstage stage down to south america

but please not twickenham cause the crowd was so bad on the flicks dvd
just standing around
no vibe at all

Well, Saitama was made on this tour too, and who says they can't top that one again? From what I'veheard, they already have...

but filming a theatre show!? it doesnt show the amazing stage..the huge crowd, no "show" to it, however it is more about the music, yes, the rolling stones have ALWAYS released a dvd of the large stadium concerts, with the exception of LSTNT (which intregated arena show footage) and Four Flicks which had all three shows,

Why would the Stones NOT release a dvd of the most archetectually advanced beautiful stage with all the fire and lights, a massive crowd, the rolling b-stage and fireworks, etc. it doesnt really make sense they would choose a small intimate theatre show as the official dvd of "A BIGGER BANG world tour", despite filmed by a famous director

It would make sense for Saitama and or Rio to see the "legitimate" light of day because they are done and ready to go.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if one or the other doesn't turn up on HBO rather than DVD.

As I write this I have the Saitama DVD up on my screen- Honky Tonk on the B stage. This is so freakin' good. I much prefer it to Rio.

There is a bootleg DVD from SAITAMA which is like an official dvd qualitywise..sound & picture are 10 out of 10.
It is kind of medium between arena and theater( about 8000 crowd)
and it has SWAY, Rambler, rain fell down...so it is a real must have for fans.

The show has been aired on Japanese pay tv so there are a lot of dvds circulating around the hard core fan base.

If you are interested have a look on the "Hot Stuff" section on this site.
