If this is true then it's a pretty low thing for them to do.

"I'll bet bv believes the warmup acts should have to pay"

Of course not. bv and most of us, including me, are friendly to the band. But being friendly doesn't make us more blind than others. You just have to keep twho thoughts in the head at the same time.

What I really want to know is if you use a "Porta - Toilet" Back Stage at a Stones show do they charge you a Dollar or Euro for every square of Toilet paper? Also , what percentage does Mick and Keith get out of that charge and if you refuse do they just throw you a couple old newspaper pages under the door and yell that you have "no class"? I've heard this IS happening at all the Stadium/Arena shows but just needed some confirmation....

Maybe on their next tour, they'll charge $5,000 for anyone who wants to play one song on stage with them. They can just shut the sound off for that part and keep the person in the far background. Heck, what's one more person on the stage. It's a mini Hong Kong up there now anyways.

:-)

Beelyboy, to be honest, I only watched one or two songs by Motley Crue. I had never seen them before, so I was curious. Truthfully? Way too loud, and a circus atmosphere. They had midgets and assorted other "circus" type people on stage with them. I thought that the music should have been enough. But, really, my assessment is not a good one since I was unfamiliar with their music and didn't know what to expect. They're not my cup of tea . . . .

makes no difference who the opening act is or if they suck or not. it's the principle of the matter.

This my friend is THE DIFFERENCE between Bill Graham promoting the band and their current promoter Michael Cohl.

Bill gave the fans what they wanted...he was a legend. I think I read or heard that his biggest heartbreak was when The Stones replaced him.

He treated them like family and...well, the rest is history.

Yeah, they switched from Bill to Cohl due to $$$$$. Graham was SO depressed that he had to go to therapy and get on prozac (he died a few years later). He was into this weird little thing called LOYALTY - one word Jagger doesn't seem to have in his dictionary. I hope Mick finds KARMA in his dictionary cause, in the end, EVERYBODY runs out of luck. Let's see, Charlie - Cancer, Ronnie - Major Alcohol Problems, Keith - Accident prone/Lifelong Abuse WILL catch up.....Mick - in great shape but solo career sucks, hmmm, watch out for that karma Sir Mickey, it's moving in damn close and it ain't goin' away.....

The guy in Fresno was Jason Mraz. He did kind of suck. Fortunately, I saw the SF I show with Metallica. I can't remember if there has been another decent opening act.

Wow, sounds an awful lot like something that took place in December of 1968.

Not going to see the Stones on the latest tour mainly due to the cost I am not sure what happens at their concerts nowadays but presumably someone is playing 'records on the PA' in between the acts.

If so is the DJ being charged and if so is it by the song? If he / she are being charged by the song then are they playing 'Going Home' 'Sad Eyed Lady...''Hey Jude'etc to save costs.

Any band should be thrilled to support such legends but I do hope that them being charged for the honour is just a nasty rumour.

at least they don't have the audacity to play Salt of the Earth anymore!

I find I can't defend the band anymore when challenged by friends etc.

They now seem like an old heavyweight boxer going on past his prime for the one last big payday. He risks serious injury or even death, but won't listen.

The Stones only risk there reputation and legacy, which seems to take a very distant 2nd place to their love of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$££££££££££££££ !

Keith always said they would quit if they stopped comitting 100% to the music (or words to that effect).

Kasabian are a wonderful band and do not deserve this kind
of humiliation from The Stones.
I'm just suprised they weren't 'relieved' of their credit cards and PIN numbers, and frogmarched to the top-priced 'ONStage' area.
