I hope this post doesnt end in US vs Europe over a Rock band. How pathetic would that be.. Fact is: EUROPE GOT SCREWED ( SO FAR ) on this tour, I am coming to think that SOMETHING will happen next year no matter what Charlie says. However, Europe has every right to bitch so far, I mean shows in India... come on. Anyway, we as americans didnt ask for this and I for one feel for Europe...beside, its not AMERICA the people or culture the Stones are interested in..its the money. So what does that say?

MSG did not sell out in one minute. I picked up floor tickets 3 days before the show Jan. 20th. This show eventually sold out, but the other 2 at MSG I believe had seats available at the box office the night of the show.

I hate to say it because I am a 'brit' but the Stones are always better in the US and there is much more excitment there when I have gone to shows in NY or Boston. The music is based on American blues and that is where they make most of their money. And you know how much money means to them. I have always tried to catch US shows because for whatever reason it is their shows seem to lack in energy in Europe, maybe they are bored or tired after touring the US. I don't know. The only tours I can think of where the Stones were either better or just as good when they hit Europe was in 73 and 95, but of coarse they were just as good in the US those tours. It makes me sad that the Stones can't sell out shows this time around, there is certainly more demand for them in the states.. and they realise it as well

Truer fans......? Hold on there boy. USA and EU have always been Stones hungry. But beat this one. The Stones were born and raised in MY town. That's London town to you. We are English and from the smoke all together. We are not just fans. We support them. When they gig in London, it's special. Unique. They can play in concrete jungles and deserts in USA. Yuk. In England it's special. We nearly always wait until the end of a WT. But we don't care. Because OUR guys are coming home. I've seen them at Wembley a few times. The atmosphere is tremendous. You can feel it coming from other fans. Hey, the Stones are home. So don't give us that poo poo, truer fans. I am pleased Americans get a fall tour. But the pure undeniable magic can only happen in UK. Where the whole thing started before most of us were even born. It's called the Rolling Stones roots. When I see them at Twickenham Stadium, they started just down the road.And if you don't know about the Stones embryonic stage history, now would be a good time to get your head around it. ENJOY!

J-JFlash. You are right this is the first time i ve seen them in Europe. Ive been seeing them since 78. There is way more energy in the states. Jagger has always said the U.S. was Number 1 anyway. I've given my reasons for London being special. So why is LA and NY better?

I did see them in London during the Licks tour. And I thought and always have that the crowds are very mellow, that how its always been compared to many other countries. Yes its good to have them home and their is a nice vibe that comes with that but the crowd is never real energetic, but I guess some of that can because the crowds are simply older these days. I don't think anyone can compete with the South American crowds but they are on a totally different level. Stones must get their rocks off from that I'd imagine.

I did nt say there better It s hard to beat the show s they perform there. It just comes down to what is happing the night they play if you get lucky you see one of the amazing show s i don t think it has to do with any paticular city really. I mean Mexico City was the best show so far to me on this tour with Fresno a close second. So i don t think you can really say what is better but the majorities of the best performances have been the U.S.
