Seems like Keith was very fond of the white SG at that show. He plays it on early cuts since Jagger still has the jacket on, and then later on Rambler. He puts the capo on for Rambler because he doesn't have it in 7th fret for other tunes. He has never done that. What early songs? Maybe "Bitch and "Rocks Off" and even "Route 66"? I say these songs because of regular tuning. Then he plays that custom 5-string for a while; maybe for YCAGWYW; or TD. Then comes with SG and Capo and then Telecaster for ending numbers? Does that make sense? Mathijs or other smart people?

I remember a picture of keith and Mick singing at the mike, and keith playin a B chord on the 7th fret on the white SG. The only contender is Bye Bye Johnnie as far as I know.
And that is early in the set. Could be "Gimme Shelter" or "Bitch". Then on the other hand sometimes Taylor did things spur of the moment and one time only. Re the white SG, "Bye Bye Johnny" means another regular tuned song.

Check - they quit doing "Johnny" for the Australian tour. Now the only songs it makes sense are "It's all over now", "Live with me" or "Dead Flowers". What was his tunings on those songs? And could they have changed the key for one of them? I don't even know what key they did IAON on that tour.

Yeah, I was at the Nic Ben Con, too. I remember thinking that two of the three Stones shows I saw at the Forum were slightly relaxed affairs. The '69 show was the other. Jagger says "No band is worth $100, really." I wonder if he would say that these days (adjusted for inflation).
We lived in Inglewood and had connections at the Forum. I snuck in. Not a nice thing to do for a benefit concert, I know. Sat behind the stage, behind Taylor. I would not see him play live again until some 25+ years later. He was good then, too.

They sure are Melillo, ever noticed how the volume increase during the last couple of songs ? The amps must have been burning during Street Fighting Man, God bless the guy who recorded it back then

Ha seems like a cool seminar, but we were talking about the 3rd from the last picture; not "the 3rd", which is definately Europe 1973, and without checking it out more closely...Rotterdam sounds correct.
Speaking of Hawaii '73 and FYI: Those three shows get confused because they are mis-marked on various boots. They did one show on the 21st noted by the performance of LWM. Two identical shows were performed on the 22nd and without LWM. From Jagger's comments, you can tell which is the first and which the second. The first show is the better recording. For some reason every copy of the 2nd show that I run across has a glitch. I still do not have a clean copy.
Yeah, pmk those shows are very confusing, for those reasons you mentioned. On Harold Colson's site there is a great breakdown into what happened and what is what.

I just got a copy of the Hawwaii 73 show at Ameoba Records In SF. its an audience recording, not the best quaility but still a good listen-esp considering it cost only 11 dollhairs. It has no live with me, but has Its all over now. Its the usual 72 set list without love in vain. Its from a label called "Un believable records"- It has songs from both dates on it.

Thanks for the cool Colorsound find in the picture! I've been a big Mick Taylor fan *and* a Colorsound wah fan (I have two myself) for years, and that's a cool connection!
