I was wondering what d'you guys thing about this track, IMHO is one of the best songs recorded by the Stones since Tatoo You. I love it and I was lucky enought to hear it in London back in '99. I love the way the song grows, slow but unstoppable and the backing vocals, oh my God. I do also think that this is another of those numbers that are so much Keith. Your 5 cents?
Great! B@B, IMO a great Stones album, is a highlight for Keith recordings in the latter days. It beats out DW, SW, VL and ABB all easily. he shines on those last two tracks. TITN has that slight arabian feel to it with the main music motif. And you can clearly hear Bernard on the harmonies in ""...like a THI-I-IEF in the night..."
"...no longer shall you trudge 'cross my peaceful mind."

Both of Their and How Can I Stop are FANTASTIC. Usually I don't particularly love Keith songs, but these 2 are 2 of my faves by him. I'd take either of these songs over Happy anyday. Great songs off of a great album. Maybe they'll get to shine on this tour. Keith needs to bring out some more of his gems: the B2B songs, Little T&A and maybe even go for Wicked As It Seems. He's worse than Mick when it comes to "playing it safe."
Richards has played just about everything with him on lead vocals released officially by the Stones at one time or another. No Coming Down Again or Sleep Tonight as they don't fit an arena or stadium rock concert.Maybe he will play it at one of the theater shows,if they ever happen. Then again, you could throw TPIE into that boat.Thief In The Night works really well live.I hope that we haven't heard the last of it. He has always rotated songs since Steel Wheels.I agree that so far on this tour he has been pretty conservative.

but you prefer the remix, 'Theif in the Night,' right?
anyway, as far as TITN goes, I'm a big fan as well!
I complete my top-3 of 90'ies with (a bit of a Prince's Cream of The Stones) Brand New Car after MAWGJ&TINT ... and they don't (can't?) do any of these live anymore...

Thief in the Night has a great groove, I heard a thrilling version in Cologne 1999 and I think that Keith should sing it again. It is a song that seems simple(like many Stones songs), but the chemistry inside the band gives it something special.
One of Keith's best, definitely one of my favorites! I love the song, the intro, the riff, the lyrics, the drums, the great ending, the perfect add libs from Keith at the end and the live versions are pretty damn good too. Classy song that is even better when it's followed by How Can I Stop. Very well produced as well in my opinion. I wouldn’t mind if he started playing this one live after This Place Is Empty, that would be cool.
