Well I have a different strategy for rating a Band.

Would I spend my hard earned £££ on them.

What's really absurd is placing any band lower on the list than Journey. :-)

Ignore the list, and it will go away.

What a moronic list. The EAGLES before the Stones? The Bee Gees, Queen, Rush, Earth Wind & Fire before the Stones?!?? Who were the stupid tools that made this list anyway?

-The Beatles at the same level of innovation than Jimi Hendrix.

-Live performance: Stones much lower than U2.

-Song writing: Stones and The Bee Gees at the same level.

-Technical ability: Stones 66, Bruce 62, AC/DC 68, Beatles 78.

Stone Temple Pilots, The Eagles, Rush, Earth Wind & Fire and The Bee Gees are for sure better R&R bands than The Stones.

The only thing that seems to be correct is Jimi Hendrix number one without the sales figures.

This is really stupid..... IMHO: ZEP BEATLES WHO STONES and JIMI and FLOYD should be in the top always....and in order of your own personal assestment but these bands ment the most. As for the rest......thank god for the above or there wouldnt be a complete 100 list to choice from

Half of the bands above Stones have quit or they're dead.
That would take Stones up to at least 10th place.

But like I've said before, you can't rate your music-taste. It's all inside our heads. To make a list like this more than 2 billion people should be the judges, not FIVE 'experts.'

But there was a lot of good bands on that list.

I think its a laugh to rate the beatles so high on live performances. There concerts sucked, even beatles fans will tell you that. And then to rate the whos live performances so low is a joke. The Who were and are now again one of the greatest live bands ever. I agree this list is based on stupid criteria.

The Stones is really an underrated band, and this is an example of this. I think The Stones are the best.
