yes LoIA you're right but I 'm afraid you lose your time to explain things to people that just don't care for the art !

the important thing is to win ! even if you insult someone, it's great if it can help !

the important thing is to WIN by all means !!

WHAAAAAAAAAT?

I guess StonesFan is a little bit more close to the point he wants to prove, I can even agree with him on certain matters, but, then again, I guess you are expecting football players to be some kind of saints they are not at all.:

Here's a few quotes of you and other saying it was about racism and not simple insults.

this lout has an incredible nerve when he says that he does not know what the word terrorist means !

in a way, he betrays himself by his insolence !

"As Blatter, the head of the FIFA, loves Zidane and hates Italy, hence he didn't take part to the final cerimony, "

Maybe Blatter didn't fancy having his picture taken with such a high concentration of guys on trial for corruption affairs...

I think it is not about giving the cup to one country or another, it's about racism. Racism is just not acceptable. Not in the street, not at school, not on a football pitch. By not investigating this, you're sending the message to the whole world that it's ok to be racist, that racist insults are just normal as they are so commonly used, and that it's fine to use them to try and win a sport game...It is just not acceptable.
I am amazed by the complacency of so many here regarding racism.

Being called "Maccaroni" is like tHe French being called "cheese eaters" and so on. It's a harmless joke about cultural references.
Racism is a completely different matter, and cannot be treated so lightly...

Ok, my mistake dunhill, i didn't check it out.

I think Stonefan has summed it up pretty well. It's 2 completely different spirits. Italians just care about winning, no matter how, with what dirty tricks or whatever. It doesn't matter to them to praise a guy who publicly declares to be so ignorant that he doesn't know what the word "terrorist" means.
On the other hand, French players are human beings before being football players. There are things that matter more to them than winning a world cup, no matter how bad they want to win it, they've got values and integrity.

Andy JS: the fact that racist insults are being used all the time doesn't make them any more acceptable. Little girls and boys are being raped by pedophiles all the time, so do we have to just accept it as well?

and LoIA has perfectly explained the differences between both spirits.

I just want to tell you that the article 55 of the FIFA rules is very clear :

if one or many players of a team are convinced of racist insults, then, they can lose the title they won..

it's not my obsession, it's written as a rule which must apply to everyone !

I hope you care for the rules dunhill and maumau ??!!

Sorry folks

but if the Italian said racist stuf he shouldn't have done so and should be reprimanded accordingly.....this would send out a message to fans and players alike, ban him for life.

Who cares about 22 overpaid morons on a pitch kicking a bag of wind about? And that's an insult to morons!!! For petes sake people get a grip it's only a game. It's not like the world will end or for that matter it's not like the whole tour has been cancelled.

micksbrain,

well gosh... just saw this.. its a great time to move there.. things are going UP AND UP!

i lived in palermo.... between avenida las heras and avenida libertador... i think thats a great area .... lots of apartment buildings there to pick from..

recoleta is too stuck up or posh but its real nice (thats near the cemetery)..

for those who are youngER the place going now is called palermo hollywood..its sorta a more suburban like neighborhood..lots of two floor houses and stuff..lots of trendy boutiques etc.. but its not as connected...

i like palermo myself..you can walk from where i lived to palermo hollywood in 20-25 minutes....or take a cab and you're there in 5 minutes... palermo hollywood also gets a lot of partying and groups of youth walking around on weekend nights.. but its the hip place to be these days..

Hey, Thanks alot, I've been there a few times and love it (but don't know the neighborhoods to well) Check out www.argentinahomes.com for apartments between $50,000 and $200,000. There's some really nice $60,000 to $90,000 ones IMO. My friends all into it, shows me all these websites. (BTW, know what you mean about W in DC - hard to take, I hear you) Thanks, MB

Ah come on, how old are you man? 18?
Just tell me how we didn't win with class?
Now, don't tell me that The Zidane/Materazzi incident was vital to us winning the cup.
You scored a single goal against us and it was a penalty kick, we scored on a real action.
When Zidane did France's only real attempt to score with his head our goalie made a miracle there, whilst Bartez goal was penetrated way too easily by Materazzi.
We were down of one goal since the 5th minute of the game, many teams would have lost concentration, we didn't and we won.
Deal with it, you lost because of our determination to win and, maybe, because of Zidane's reaction, not because of Materazzi's insults.

Yeah, 2001 - 2002 was bad but Argentina's ALWAYS gonna bounce back - not so sure if it ever happens here - USA - if the people will handle it very well...

You're right. Italians seemed to be more concentrated and better prepared. The biggest advance they had was their great coach Lippi - there's the difference between these teams. Domenech took one of the world's best penalty kicker Thierry Henry out 10 min before the penalty kicks for example. He didn't give Trezeguet a change until the very last minutes of the tournament. That's a difficult preparation for anybody to go and work it out for France. Domenech's way to lead his team was not so impressive than Lippi's.

Man, I wouldn't do it for a life-time supply of Super-V.I.P.-All Access-Even-Keith's-Tuning-Room Passes.
I am balding, not completely bald, I am posting a pcture of me with Andy McCoy of Hanoi Rocks to show you my hair condition.
I write for the Italian edition of Rolling Stone and I did once interview the Italian King of Hair Transplants and Implants, Mr. Cesare Ragazzi, about aging rockstars that had a hair-job, with him giving votes to each one.
It was hylarious, he even offered me a 30 days test with one of his solutions but I declined.

And he washes them quite often.
After clubbing and drinking from 5pm to 5am we went to my hotel room to have some more vodka, first thing he did was wash his hands.

You need preventive medicine for the hair loss or you will be a slap head sooner than you realize.

good man. only fuckwits try and cover the dome when it starts to let the sunlight through

> I am balding, not completely bald

and if you shaved it all off you'd feel like a new man! best get it over with before the temptation to comb over and disguise it happens. one day i had hair down to my arse, the next i shaved it all right off. never regreted it for one minute. the time comes to get rid of it or end up like those old rockers you see at gigs clinging to every last strand as if their whole life depended on it

get some clippers and join the club!

Last time The Stones were playing here in Andy's hometown Helsinki 2003 Mick was introducing Ronnie as "the Andy McCoy of their band" for the audience. I guess Andy was delighted, but would have been even more if it was Keith.
