Some guy bought all the contents of a long forgotten Giant Warehouse in San Francisco owned by the late Concert Promoter Bill Graham. He keep the news secret until he had his staff inventory every single piece of the collection. Supposedly, Bill Graham was a giant "pack-rat" and you should see what he saved. There's great original prints of unseen photo's of the Stones from the 69, 72, 75, 78, 81 tours as well as New Tour Programs, Posters, T-shirts, Unused Tickets, Back Stage Passes, etc. Besides the Stones there's EVERY big band/performer from about '68 on including Jimi, Janis, Doors, Zeppelin, Cream, The Dead, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Dylan, Springsteen, U2, Pearl Jam, on and on. This collection is just MASSIVE. The Cream of the Crop is 6,000 to 7,000 unreleased complete concerts professionally recorded at all of Graham produced shows until his death in 1991. There's also Video and Filmed shows (they showed a clip from the Stones '72 show). The best news is - Besides the concert recordings, IT'S ALL FOR SALE !!! Check out www.wolfgangsvault.com. Dude, the guy just put the web site up and started selling everything. I get all the rock Magazines (Rolling Stone, Q, Mojo, Uncut, BillBoard, Spin) and haven't seen anything mentioned - I would have heard something. From the look of the interview on TV today which was just conducted this is brand new info. If it was 2 years old all those Prints would have been sold already. Try to pass around some great news to the IORR gang (most of which are great) and there's always some smart ass know it all in the group moaning....

Old news. It wasn't discovered in a warehouse by the way, it was given to a trustfund by will.

By the way the Stones forbid any broadcast of any Stones material. So all those SB tapes of the '72 tour remain in the vault.

You're telling me all those 1969 concert/backstage shots have all been published before. You must have a giant library (or a giant imagination) cause I have a ton of Stones books and haven't seen a lot of them (also have all the Rolling Stone magazines from 68 through the 70's) I'd love to see your Library Melillo - what the F are you talking about my man? I gotta go get ready for the World Cup with some friends and food coming over...will have to talk shop about Sillicon Valley another day...can't have warm beer and wine for the World Cup....

I heard the story about the tapes on National Public Radio about a year or so ago.

So do they have audio recordings of any shows from the '69 tour? If it was Bill Graham, they would at least have LA and Oakland, right? Can anyone confirm?

Your so called brand new news was mentioned in every @#$%& (music) magazine all around the world a loooong time ago. In times of the internet you need only a few seconds to get every news you are looking for, doesn't matter where it comes from. I'm (obviously) not even from the US and find news from some Silicon Valley paper. If SV is the center of the world or not isn't the point.

Well anybody that listens to NPR in this land of "The Stupid" has my total respect.

For some of the other boys up there. I edited my post so just look at it as a false alarm. I'm a big nut about the 69/72 tours and have not seen a lot of those shots before, that's all I can say.I did once hear something about Graham's tapes being found but there was no website or anything. Like I said in my reworked post. Next time I'll put up something interesting like "Silver Train vs. Dance Little Sister" - which one's better? Sorry, gotta go-go watch France win the World Cup.....

I live part time in Paris - that's in France, genius (just slightly more interesting and REAL than SV) and Part time in Los Angeles (unlike Northern California the women at the beaches down here don't have giant clumps of dark hair growing out of their underarms - hehehe). wait, if it wasnt for the silicon valley, san francisco would just be some cold and foggy forgotten about deserted coastal town with a bunch of "for lease" or "for sale signs and a flailing tourist industry.
