quite a slow-drag funky groove i can move right into; and have.
bigass 'tumblin' almost stumblin on those perfect thudding fills he makes you wait for.
lovely little guitar runs and pulls; love the big Mick; he still fascinating; but this is just so lovely, doncha think?
burden alternate take without vokes....sweet stuff funky groove.
these various alternate takes have opened up a LOT of pleasure for me.
yep they should put out a groove soul album like this, wny not?
James Brown probably had a dozen; just screaming at that funky band,
an occasional grunt or barked order. (the Federal stuff especially).

Steely Dan Week listening to all albums - Dan and Walter brilliant with clever hipster lyrics cinematic stories with all songs- got the best musicians and they really know what sound they wanted with all those great guitar players and session players - all those different guitar sounds they got were awesome some of the best solos ever out down and that drum and bass beat and those horns .
Now trying to learn a few on guitar after all these years.
