Speaking of covers of Roadhouse Blues...eye popping smiley

Ministry - Roadhouse Blues

Have to honestly say, sounds much better on a killer stereo full blast after a late night of drinking beer with friends at my studio...or maybe not haha.
Only the can strong survive this one, and it's a great way to weed out the weaklings. When Ministry goes on - lights out - party is over! grinning smiley

But of course, nothing beats The Doors' the original! thumbs up

This song is epic--groundbreaking when it came out--and a vital contribution to the extended American "songbook."

If a time capsule containing this song landed in, say, the 1940s you can bet Count Basie, Duke, Ellington, and Billie Holiday would have been blown away by and grooved to it.

And if Mick and Keith had been coming of age in the late '70s and early '80s they, too, would have been inspired and blown away, and would have started making art that incorporated elements of "The Message" and other early seminal hip-hop/rap into their own.

Those who don't have ears to hear...such is life.

ps: this is what I'm listening to and diggin--great combination of light and funky-sweet.
