True, that whole gig is just one giant ramshackle mess. It's strange how they went from such lousiness to the blistering tour opener in Boston.
It was the opposite in 2005, with a very promising warm-up gig in Toronto and then a disappointing tour opener.

Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald doing "Summertime". Bob Dylan's release "Triplicate" - which is rather good if you take it for what it is - put me back onto classic American songbook tunes. The album with Armstrong and Fitzgerald is wonderful. This is my favorite cut. Enjoy.

The Rolling Stones live at Palais Royale 2002, a very rusty warm-up gig and it really sounds like they've had been rehearsing 4 days even though Mick jokes about it.
