This song is based on a true thing - the Apache medicine man, Geronimo, actually driving a car. I saw a photograph of Geronimo driving the car at the Heard Museum, a museum devoted to Native American peoples, here in Phoenix, AZ. If you ever visit here, make the Heard one of your must sees. Interestingly, even thoough he eventually gave himself up to the White Man, Geronimo supposedly said, on his deathbed, that in his heart he never really surrendered to the White Man.
