Starz - Monkey Business
[www.youtube.com]

oh my
sledgehammer pop
i like it a lot

probably aerosmith wishes they were this heavy
or had this good a lead singer
or guitarist
or bass player
or drummer
i don't know ahout the keyboards.
they mighta had the same producer somewhere along the line
early to mid seventies. i think Starz deboo was '76; not sho.
and i really like early Aero so this is no slam on those weaker
guys from way up in New England. It's sorrta of it's own country in Massachusetts.
i mean in the good ol' US of A, it's like 50 different countries in a way.
but Massachusetts actually has a King.
His name is Tom.
King Tom.
anyway, this proves that NYC is tougher, even in what was to be a remarkably
embarrassing, and enduringly sad futrure for these losers.
i try to be kind, don't you?
It makes life more pleasant I find.
I find a lot or things.
things other people wouldn't touch.
Why is that I used to wonder
now i know.
it's cuz they suck and i rock
this proves it.
turn it up.
yeh she'll probably file papers.
who cares.
i think this sexy lead singer is about 367 or 374 pounds last I heard.
he might have eaten the drummer.
i'm sorta afraid rto look it up.
the greatest hard rock band no one has ever heard,
ever.
except H. and now....You.
dig in
best to bring a buddy and don't listen till half hour after you've eaten anything.
-------------

come on you know it's true
try a test. listen to this FIRST,
then listen to a really good aero track,
say, 'buck in the saddle' (the original title, i think steven has issues)...

...anyway, see?
aero sounda like the dam beetle boy band (hate them)
; i mean they sound like, and no offense to the chicks babes honeys ladies presente, pero they sound like little girls
after less than am minute of the well named Starz.
perfectly named. VERY rock and roll!
cause NONE of them WERE.
Ever.
That takes balls my friends.
sure, you're probably a rock and roll loser too.
i know i am; thank the the lawdy miss claudy
sledgehammer pop; makes lemmy sound like The Archies.
i know it'a only rock and roll
but this is a tank in a torpedo fight
where everyone loses

Sweet heard these guys and changed their name to Sour.
ta boom
these guys are so heavy when they sit around a house
they actually SIT AROUND A HOUSE
ta boom

*interesting asterisk.
isn't it?
here's another:*
*richie ranno, the Lead Guitarist of Starz,
was also the lead guitarist for a Hit single
called "louie louie' that isn't THE 'louie louie'
just like this is 'monkey business' but not THE 'monkey business'
it's monkier.
the only thing more monkey,
is The Monkey
Major Lance - Monkey Time (1963) HQ Audio
[www.youtube.com]
The name of richie ranno's band was "Stories"
they actually had a good hit single.
pretty good singles. takin a bit the piss as you brits say,
but really liked that Stories single. Singer had a great sound.
and ranno really is a super guitarist.
the art design ala Kiss and Aero just didn't push these guys to the top,
but a critical comparison with a lot of heavy bands at the time.
heavy hard rock bands with real impact where few had gone before, at the time, anyway...would show this slammin' stuff minimally competitive with a lot
of stuff their contemporaries were releasing circa the advent aned establishment of disco, and the end of these kinds of sigings to major
labels, unti maybe the 80's hair band thing to come in a few years later,
ala Great White, Crue, and a lot of bands not near as heavy.
tho i like Mick Mars and also that first motley album.

long live rock'

Cool seeing Bob Seger.

I was listening to the 1981 Tattoo You recorded version of
‘Tops’
(NOT remastered)
I heard the ‘cut’
then Mick Taylor’s solo/ guitar.
Keith’s back up vocals are gorgeous.
Track stopping tune ‘10’

I have decided to listen to all of the records listed by Rolling Stones magazine as the 500 Greatest records of All Time; the list was revised in 2012. As of today, I am at # 472;George Michael "Faith".Not my cup of tea but I was able to listen to it in its entirety.I have 471 more to go. It is an interesting exercise with great rewards. For example I discovered The Stone Roses and I really like it. Could not listen to Cindy Pauper, Outcast. I didn't know D'Angelo before , but I like his music on Voodoo.
Rockandroll,
Mops
