The real reason for the constant difficulties in The Kinks?
When Dave's fully onboard, he proves absolutely exquisite, equal to
ANY of the true Greats, (imo). and also, imo, this proves exactly that.
There may not be that many, like the proven proflierate output
of 'a' Ray, Mick or Keith,
but there's also others in Dave's catalog, (in addition to consistenly
remarkable guitar work across a very wide stylistic pallete).
and Super GREAT harmony vocals as well as lead and rhythm electric guitars.
Now and again I'll 're-find' this one, tho I got the LP, as I did
most of the now classics, during it's very first commercial releases,
by virtue, and demerit, of age and circumstance.
And when I do, it really takes me to the heart of great rock and roll pop
songwriting and performance delivery. Amazing stuff to me, since first
hearing "you really got me' on the radio ande buyting the first, of what
would be DOZENS of consecutive Kinka releses thru the DECADES.
