BEST CD EVER

Live at Leeds is a live album by The Rolling Stones, released in 2012. It was recorded at Roundhay Park, Leeds on 25 July 1982. The album was released exclusively as a digital download through Google Music on 16 October 2012. The concert was the band's final show of their European Tour 1982 and was also the band's last live performance with band co-founder and pianist Ian Stewart.

‘Beast of Burden’
‘Chicka Chicka Chicka, make love to me baby’

thumbs up

That album has some heavy versions of some great tunes -like this:
Neil Young - Like A Hurricane

And in contrast to the excellent acoustic version from the Freedom album, here's a raging full blown electric version of Crime in the City:
Crime In The City

And the last three minutes of this are nothing short of demonic for lack of a better term - crank it up and the neighbors will love you!winking smiley
F*ckin' Up

Agree, and it's also why it's my favorite Neil Young album!

I just listened to All Down The Line then Hand of Fate then Dance Little Sister really, really loud....and um....then Star Star...(all studio versions really mastered hot but it was all 'there')
i started with Torn and Frayed, then made that bad turn into All Down The Line; okay good but enough was enough; then the merciless robot Godezzez served up Hand of Fate (that robot is on to me) and I was a goner. I mean I'm still trying to get all the way to my feet. Bee Loan A Way. Yes, then Dance Little Sister, tho I had to search for that one (she's not as smart as Hal thinks she is).
Sometimes I forget how, somehow, how really 'authentically' tough rough and targeted this stuff is, in it's creation and vision and execution. It's SO spare; no matter how futzed with; mixed beautifully as far as I'm concerned; but it's just really those few instruments and guys; it's amazingly hard-hitting; as far as 'authenticity,' the vaunted level reached for by the artists who were so dead-on dedicated fans of the originals; here The Stones ARE the Originals; this conglomeration of styles; those memphisian two horns with those crisp stacatto climbs, such all-out passionate stuff; these guys had the wavelength; it's been talked about endlessly and here's another cascade of praises; but when push comes to shove; this stuff works; if it clears the room; all the better; the people that stayed and grooved know where it's at. um, as we used to say.
