I made a playlist of all of Joss Stone's Total World tour videos and I'm listening to them in chronological order. I love all that world music she performs with!! Can't wait for her new album!!!

Tatoo You. I always had a soft spot for this album, especially the 2. half.

Cold Steel Blue bootleg (later to become Live from the vault Tokyo Dome).

A few years ago someone broke into my storage room (lived in an apartment house), and all my CD's and DVD's were stolen - mostly bootlegs. But I had backup of most of it on MP3 on my computer. Cold Steel Blue was one of them :-)

Mick still had the moves like a live wire, and was an endless ball of energy....

Just watched the whole clip (thanks!).. also was at that show.
Funny, you watch it and Mick jumps out as being so physically different, for me it's Keith that has changed so drastically, with his movements and command while Mick seems very similar.

Actually it's both of them that have changed drastically, but I was focusing on and commenting on Mick and how he used to be a non-stop maniac on stage. if you look at other videos from that show, it's pretty much non-stop throughout. I don't see too much of that 'out of control' energy anymore, whether from both of last years Desert Trip (and especially the Vegas)shows I attended, to the recent No Filter videos. There's still hints of his on stage prowess, but fourteen years has made a big difference and he's quite a bit more restrained - understandable though since he's now an older 74 vs. a younger 60 years of age. Same with Keith - maybe even more so than Mick, but with all he's been through since '03 (head injury, etc.), it's a miracle he's still on stage at all.

Soul Asylum what a great band - David Pirner has to be one of the most underated song writers in music. He wrote so many wonderful songs and still does. I wish Dan Murphy was still in the band his guitar tone was so sonic a great guitarist.
RIP - Karl.

I remember them and liked them alot back in the day - even though I wasn't really a huge fan, Black Gold was great as was Runaway Train. Didn't even know Karl Mueller passed away...RIP.

Similar era to the Gin Blossoms c. early '90s when both were big - heavy rotation on MTV.
I bought the first full length Gin Blossoms album - most , if not all of the best tunes written by guitarist Doug Hopkins who committed suicide shortly after being forced out of the band.

From wiki:

"Gin Blossoms named their first full-length studio album New Miserable Experience. In February 1992, while still working to complete it, founding member and lead guitarist/songwriter Hopkins drank heavily and grew increasingly depressed during the process. With the other members hesitant to fire Hopkins, A&M forcefully removed him from the band and withheld $15,000 owed to Hopkins until he agreed to sign over half of his publishing royalties and relinquish his mechanical royalties. Hopkins reluctantly agreed to these demands because of his dire financial situation.[5] Scott Johnson was chosen by the band as Hopkins' stand in on tour, and became a permanent member in 1994.

The first single released from it was Hopkins' song "Hey Jealousy". It reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks, largely fueling the success of New Miserable Experience. However, the achievement was overshadowed by Hopkins' suicide on December 4, 1993.[6] The following year, another song by Hopkins, "Found Out About You", also reached No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to No. 1 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks".

Karl passed as they released the silver lining - David wrote stand up and be strong for Karl as he medical condition got worse.

David wrote so many great songs besides the MTV hits.

I also liked Gin Blossoms
